No, I haven't.  I'll toss it in the request bin.

I've got two questions: One, are MotW articles required to discuss solely canon variants, or can homebrews be discussed (I'm thinking specifically of Mechs with few if any existing variants, mostly rare IS models)

Second, I'd like to do a write up on the Raijin/Raijin II, and I can make that 9/30 timeslot.

Yea, it really is that fast....

Exactly how far you can go in terms of proposed modifications is... sketchy.  Some discussion is one thing but an HMP/SSW readout is considered too far.  Generally, if you're doing a lot of it as opposed to a a few proposals in passing, I'd put it in a Workshop thread in the Fan Designs area.  Personally, if I'm doing it all in the article, I tend to go ahead and put it in the Workshop the same way Trace does in the fighter articles but that's my own preference, not a hard and fast rule.

You're on the schedule.

Does anyone have a copy they can repost of the old Star League Royal Varients from the last board?

And while I'm posting, is there any chance of the Reunification wars mechs being reviewed? Thanks!

I have them laying around, so what the heck... Throw the Longshot into the 10/21 slot, and the Daedalus into the next available after that.

Mind if i toss in a request for the Arbiter?  I'm tempted to start a thread on it on my own, but i know i cant do it justice.  I also want to open up the big she-bang on the whole Fuel Cell/ICE combat industrial mech thing.  If you ask me, the Arbiter was a LONG time in coming, we needed this thing years ago if you ask me!

I'll cover it eventually.  At the moment, we've got over two months of schedule lined up.

Considering the author with the reservation hasn't logged on in six months, I'll go ahead and hand it over if you want it.

Is there a searchable archive for MotW articles? I'd like to see what has and has not been done.

Other than the actual Fan Articles section of the forums, no.  The best resource for finding something like that out is Chanman's Fan Article Directory.

Hellbie's article is getting on seven years old now and while it was pretty good (he did good work) it might prove just as well to do a new one that's up to date on rules and veriants and tactics.  After all, he felt the need to update a CWD article just one year on when he did his.

If you've got a rush, 'talk to me' is always an option to solicit opinions.  Or you could always do it your self, and while that may sound like a smart ass thing to say, really and truely you learn a lot more from writing about something than you do from just reading about it, and many of my articles were done on mechs that, when I started, I didn't know squat about.

Fair enough. I certainly have no rush, I just really enjoy reading the MotW articles as they are always entertaining and informative. Since the Stalker is one of my favourites, I would have liked to hear all about it. In fact, I love the articles so much, I even read the FotW ones, despite never having played aerotech in my life and it has got me intruiged enough to start thinking about getting into it.

Unfortunately not only am I out of date on rules, but my writing is poor and my store of dick jokes are not extensive or varied enough to cover the death phallus with the respect it deserves, nay, commands. As such I doubt anything I write would be worthy, but if I have enough free time at work, I might try and bash something together and see if someone here could look it over.

May as well do this...

Put me in for the Hachiwara on the 18th of November. Simply so that people can compare it to its originating design the No-Dachi (which is unlikely to have disappeared into obscurity in one week).

I'd like to request the Stag, I've recently purchased the mini and can't seem to find any pics of it on Camospecs. can't even seem to find someone who knows what book it's from.

It was covered back in April.

The Fan Article Directory will help you find things that have already been covered.  If it's not linked, it was covered at one point in the past but isn't on this iteration of the forums.

Put me down for the Mercury.  I can have it done for 12/2.

I guess you can pencil me in to that missing date (12/16, I think) for the Cudgel.

I also have an article on the Mantis ready, so put that around 12/30 (if 12/16 is correct).

I would like to reserve the Trebaruna, Helepolis, and Annihilator. That is, if someone hasn't done any of those recently...

Wish to reserve a few more mechs for articles. The Mauler, Beowulf, and Sphinx (I have to try to write up a fully Clan Mech sometime...).
