Well, it's 2011 and we're starting this year off with a BLAST!

Pick your side as Wolf's Dragoons Beta Regiment squares off against the Ryuken on Misery in 3028.  Will the Dragoons' superior gunnery and training carry the day, or will the sheer numbers crush the mercenaries?

We'll also be discussing upcoming games, products and conventions for 2011.

Don't miss it!

Saturday, 12 February @ 10AM
Plymouth Meeting Mall, Plymouth Meeting, PA

I have a game scheduled that day, but if those plans fold, I'll be there.

I am not the Dr. Banzai from Facebook/Youtube. That person is a hateful person that does not represent the spirit of Buckaroo Banzai nor its fandom.

Whoops! Looked in the wrong forum. Thanks Slade! I'll send False Son this way. We're hoping to be there, weather cooperating. I haven't played Intro tech only in a decade I think. Should be fun.

I try to run one every month and I usually post the event 2-3 weeks in advance so that people can make arrangements.  March will either be the 12th or 26th, I haven't decided yet.

I believe I'll be there. It'll be good to meet you folks for the first time. I've been trying to get to Slade's games for the last two years, but my work schedule never cooperated. Yay for unemployment, I guess?

Only thing I didn't see. Where in the mall is it? I think I recall your other events being listed as a Comics and More. Is that correct?

Huge thanks to Slade and his crew! This fella was quite glad to play on an actual tabletop and sling real dice for the second time in 11 years. Uber Alles Dragon!

An excellent game and a big thanks to everyone that showed up, both old and new faces.

Look for the 26th of March to throw down again!

Sorry I couldn't make it, but I didn't think that "sharing" was such a great idea, especially when I had plenty of "flu" germs for everyone.  Maybe next time.

How did the battle turn out?

The battle was actually pretty great.  With a Dragoon company split evenly amongst Heavy and Assault-class 'Mechs with Elite pilots, I was expecting a lot of carnage even though they faced off against twice their number.  Ironically, the dice carried the day for the Combine troops as the Dragoon players missed rolls of 6, 7, and 8s all day long.  There should've been FAR more dead Snakes on the field, and they took advantage of that fact by closing into short range to even out the TN numbers.  It didn't matter that they'd get hit, because now the Combine troops COULD hit back.  Here is where their tenacity paid off as combined fire began to take it's toll on the defending Dragoon Mechs in armor and ammo.

By the time we wrapped up and reviewed the sheets, the game actually would even out in destruction rather than the Major Victory for the Dragoons.  The Combine reinforcements due to arrive on the board quite possibly would've been too much for the Dragoons to handle and they would've simply slaughtered each other to the man.
