That's been in the Clan glossaries forever.  It's even in the glossary for the Jade Phoenix Trilogy.

I usually don't read the glossaries. ;)
And with the exception of one, I read all BT novels in German. We don't use the same words for Clan slang than the US-novels. They even translated quiaff and franeg into something different (only Blake knows why...)

Ui, I think savashri was also used in our German translations, but don't ask me when and where!

It's also possible that I just forgot it existed. I knew there had to be some time when I start forgetting BT stuff because my brain is full ;) :D

Yes, Savashri was unharmed.. Stravag as well, but freebirth had to be translated, obviously.

I still find the german analogues to the rhetoric endings much preferable, but well, what can you do?

It took me some time to understand that "quiaff" is the same as "frapos" and "quineg" stands for "franeg". I think "Pos" works better than "Aff". Andery had some strange abbreviations. Aff sounds like Uff..something no trueborn clanner would say!

Exactly my view.. or it sounds like monkey in german...  :P ;)

Not really what I like, but I guess it wont matter for English speakers.

If clan cursing was banned, you couldn't use words like: don't, can't, won't, etc.

Eh, that just means he is a freebirth, not a blasphemer.  Now, if he tells you you have a MOTHER, then that is when you start crying foul.

You did know that "quiaff" and "quineg" are just contractions for "query affirmative" and "query negative" ?   Bloody hypocritical Clanners.
