Secretly, nothing has edges.

On a more practical level, I suggest using a small brush that has a high opacity/hardness, and contrasting light.

Sadly I don't think it's going to save this Commando:

Weeelll... Typically, I find it best to start with kind of a middle value. (I notice you seem to have started with black.) Then you can add light or dark on top of your middle value, so you hit both ends of the value chart more evenly. If that makes sense.

Oh, it makes perfect sense, I was actually testing out a different rendering style where I started with the black and used the eraser set for pressure-sensitive opacity to start putting out some values. Obviously that didn't end up working too good.

Reminds me of Pam from Archer.

Anyway, just found this kick-ass looking Rifleman and felt I had to share:

I don't think it's saturated enough. Make it brighter! So you can blend in with all those happy trees.

It's a truck!

And according to Sparky, the inspiration for this is some manner of eight-wheeled Kevlar-lined coffin.  :P

Not really, most of this stuff is done either with a basic round brush or one of the default calligraphy brushes, the only really unique one I use is the rectangular brush from Algenpfleger's brushpack on DeviantArt.

Heheheheheheeeeeee....

I really need to learn how to use photoshop or some other drawing program so I can actually make some use of the Wacom Bamboo tablet I got for a steal...

Nice stuff! I like your process. Kinda jealous of it, actually.

Figured I should at least make an effort at finishing her:

Gonna tweak the lines so they don't suck as much as they do now, but I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.
