If you guys think there is a problemn with the Stalker, what about the Penetrator?

I know of many people who refuse to use this make, because of its name. (One of the seldom cases where I prefer the German name over the English one. Lichtbringer. )

I know it's fugly, but the Stalker is one of my favorites. It could certainly use an official CBT art update overhaul. The legs always look so...funky.

it's always looked like the 3025 art got mistranslated in the sculpt and i guess noone's actually gone back to notice there's a barely visible hip socket that indicated that egg-shaped bit of armor is just intended to be a bulge on the front of the upper leg and not some funky joint. at least to me.

If you guys think there is a problemn with the Stalker, what about the Penetrator?

the Penetrator isn't ugly, it's just nearly impossible. its shins are mounted going through the hip joints. if you don't notice that detail it's a fine looking 'mech. unlike the pocket massager shape of the Stalker

That I know about the Penetrator. It is the name of the mech, which some people are offended off.

Quote from the Mektek Forum by one of these people:

"I won't use a mech which is named after a *** Toy.

Another fantasic mech, but it could use some conversion work. I think ST had a great bash of one he posted pics of a while ago...?

If the Stalker traded names with the Penetrator, that just would not be right.

The legs on the Penetrator do a little awkward outside of the original artwork, the arms are also very lanky.

I agree. Simply changing the legs makes the Stalker a much better looking mech

"House Davion, soon after its inception, established itself as a force for freedom in the Inner Sphere. Again, though, this is a relative term. House Davion does not support the Communist, hippie, let’s-all-take-care-of-each-other kind of freedom. No. They have always worked more along the lines of the we-will-occasionally-need-to-invade-your-nation-because-you-don’t-strike-us-as-freedom-loving-enough kind of freedom. To their credit, House Davion leaders occasionally mention the concept of “freedom” as a positive thing, which puts them a ways ahead of peer, say, House Liao and House Kurita" -Battlerun- Best Ever

But are they offended by the Bandersnatch?

That Stalker would be complete with tiny, Tyrannosaur arms just in front of the missile launcher and in the undercarriage of the cockpit. Two, claw-like hands. It would really look awesome and a bit threatening.

I've always loved the majority of the art from TRO:3075. It looks very primitive, as the designs should.

I agree.  It looks like a machine that was designed for war, without a lot of cosmetic doo-dads.  I like it.

That is a nice mod to the Penetrator.......very nice!  Much better than the stock mech.

Two mechs that have not been mentioned before are the Initiate and the Sentry.
If Popeye and Voldo from Soul Edge somehow came together and had a baby which
was then encased in battle armor, it would probably look just like a Sentry.

I always liked the TR art for the Cobra with its huge missile pod arms but I was really disappointed
when the mini had these little shriveled up T-Rex arms.  I also love the Flashman spec wise,
but i really hate what they to its legs.  those calves/ankles just don't look right.
And what are those things coming out the top/rear of its legs? it looks like some loose uni-strut or
girder rods from an erector set. ( I bet they are heat sinks)

This summer when i made a bunch of IIC Star Leage mechs, I put some Spartan legs on it and
woo-yeeehaw! so sexy now!  O0

Always thought the Sentry was the child of a Trebuchet and a Grasshopper after one too many Jager' shots.

I always thought the Jenner was really ugly. It looks too much like a man from the waist down...a rather, um, excited man if you get my drift.

If it had reversed knees it might look halfway okay.

... that might be a little freudian considering how many other mechs share a similar build. I would think the Stalker would be the center point of such a post before the Jenner (thus it's other nickname we don't post)

The ***** of doom! The ******* of slaying! The ******** of brutality!
Truly, there's no 'mech quite as effective as the Stalker for leaving a ragged, gaping hole in your opponent!  :D

hate to burst your bubble but, it's Soul Calibur, not Soul Edge
Anyways, apologies of my post previously.  :-[
Back on subject- IMO the ugliest mech is either the Reseen Stone Rhino or the Reseen Bane.  I know the reseens go more of the creative design path but still...
