Okay, now I know. I can well imagine some of the training instructors might want to go. If for no other reason than to see if what they knew of IS tactics was still correct.

By 3000, Clan society had come to see the Inner Sphere has a kind of lost holy land. Lush beautiful plants, a literal garden of Eden, better living than they had it on the Clan Homeworlds.

Given that fact, I'm not surprised that there were no shortage of volunteers.

I always had the impression Cranston Snord was a former Scorpion warrior. It would explain his "hobby". But somewhere i read he was definitely a wolf. :-[

Quote from: Rhonda's Irregulars, p4
Jaime Wolf and I grew up together.

Which could either mean they both lived in the farming village of Applegate on Eden (though Snord was born on Grant's Station) or they were both assigned to the Gamma Ten Freeborn Sibko at the age of ten.

Does anyone know the exact make up of any clan touman? I mean its one thing to say this clan has so many front line units but what about second line, garrison, solahma and training units?  That would make a clan's total military strength a lot bigger.

I also think Clan Wolf was more accepting of other warriors than many other clans. That would also increase the size of their military.

I believe I also read somewhere that Cranston served under Jaime Wolf's command. I can't remember if that was in a canon source.

Snord's Irregulars were part of Wolf's Drargoons and broke off from them early on. If you look up that unit's history on sarna.net, or even google it, you'll find info.

Yes, I know Snord served under Jaime when the Dragoons came to the IS. I remember reading somewhere that he was in Jaime's unit back in the Homeworlds as well.

Plus I always submit a note of caution when reading anything from Sarna.net.

Snord’s Irregulars were never part of Wolf’s Dragoons. Cranston Snord and Rhonda Snord were, but the rest were acquired in games of chance, or recruited from the Inner Sphere. Though there is evidence to suggest, but not confirm, that they benefited from some of the Dragoon sibkos and orphan recruitment in later years.

Some of Snord's people came from the Dragoons. Sneede and the Malvinson Brothers did, they brought Rhonda with them. The older Malvinson had orders to kill Cranston if he got too far out of line.
