Ok, I feel like I should know this.  What is someone that lives in the Federated Suns called?  As in casual conversation.
Citizen of the Federation is too long.

The label you're looking for is "Correct" and can have the modifiers "Morally", "Factually", or "Technically" depending on the three traditional Marches (Capellan, Crucis,  or Draconis).  Periphery Marchers, while the youngest of them all, are normally known as "Literally Correct" despite their high illiteracy rate.

Hey Nerd, long time no see.

So, since we're talking about national identification,  of a sort, has anything ever been written about Monastic Orders in the Federated Suns?

I would imagine that, after the Warrior Cabal business that any Order would be closely scrutinized,  but would the New Avalon Catholic  Church authorize military Orders, such as the Templars during the Middle Ages, with the understanding that they are to fill the gap of lesser settlement defense, especially in the wilder parts of the Outback.

I've been toying with the idea and the name "Knights of the Suns" but I'm unsure of the feasibility due to the Warrior Cabal and the resulting purges.

Thoughts?

There was an all-too-short Unit Digest published by Battlecorps years ago on the Holy Order of Knight Defenders (aka the Knights Defensor).  They're an order formed by the Pope post-Jihad to defend the periphery from pirates, basically.  See here: https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Knights_Defensor

Also just a curiousity:  did you take part in the Clan Kickstarter, or or you trying to stay away from the mini habit?

Sat it out. Maybe in a few years when my kids are older, though.

Definitely suck them into it.  I got all my kids (all 5) a Chameleon, painted them to whichever house/faction.  And then we did 3025 training on the original maps for few weeks.  Was amazing fun, especially when I dropped a Clan star on them.  ;D

This thread will be a seven at the end of the year.  It's six months older than my youngest.

That's kinda sad, seeing as how this thread used to fill up quickly and get locked back in the day.

Well, considering that there isn't much new to talk about in regards to the Lore and some of the primary thread drivers aren't around any longer, it's kind of understandable.

Life goes on I guess and we're all getting older.  I'm looking at 45 on Monday and I can't remember where the years went.  I mean, it wasn't that long ago that we were still dealing with the flame board and the wars that broke out on them between people like Rage, AcidQueen, MadCapellan, General308, Albatross and I couldn't tell you how many others.

MadCap’s gone all respectable on us, he’s got a yellow BattleMaster now.  Albatross has, alas, gone the way of all flesh.  I see 97jedi and Rorke on the book of the faces from time to time, but that’s about it. No clue on a lot of the others.

Did something like that for the world we garrisoned in an old MW1 campaign.

Had to fluff out the friendlies that we trained.
