Battleforce VS Alpha Strike (VS Quick Strike)

Hi,

Last year I bought Strat Ops, especially for Battleforce and quickstrike rules.

Then, Alpha Strike has been released. I'd like to know what are the gameplay diferences between Alpha Strike and these 2 rulesets,  I never found any info on this, altought Alpha Strike is based on these mechanics.

In one word, is that worth to buy alpha strike when you own Battleforce (and therefore, quickstrike)  ?

Battleforce is a fast-playing system designed to allow large-scale fights.

QuickStrike takes that system and brings the scale back down to the numbers you usually see in TW-scale games for an extremely fast-paced miniatures game.

Alpha Strike is basically QuickStrike renamed and refined into a complete ruleset. It plugs the holes and smooths out the rough parts of QS so it can stand by itself, ands adds enough options that you can play with a lot of TacOps-level options at this scale of play, and even play out entire campaigns at this scale.

So if I understand correctly,


Searching in my book for diferences between Battleforce and Quickstrike will give me the diferences between Battleforce and Alphastrike ?

AlphaStrike is Quickstrike in one book, instead of having references spread in both TW and StratOps books ?



Last question remains :

Yeah. Alpha Strike is essentially QuickStrike in its own solo book, and made better.

Well, since I'm broke (january is always a tuff month  ;D)  I'll start with Quickstrike. If it was good enough for everyone before Alphastrike release, so...  ;)
