Suicide Squad...  Meh! Joker's role was a glorified cameo, boring bad guys, even boringer good guys. Harley Quinn has a higher kill count than the SEALs and all she uses is a mallet and baseball bat!? 4/10   ???

A friend's take on it was that you cold watch the scenes in any order you wanted, due to how much of an incomprehensible mess the plot was.

So, during a break in olympics yesterday, i decided to watch the "I am Wrath" flick i picked up from the library..
Travolta's roll seemed at times phoned in, while other times he seemed real into it..  And i LOVED seeing "stabler" from SVU (Christopher Meloni).  Heck i loved how he started out being almost an ANTI-Stabler, but got into being a great partner later on...
Solid 3 of 5 stars for me.

I've been thinking its time to watch Serenity again. Maybe this afternoon.
We hear that there are tumults and riots in Rome, and that voices are raised concerning the army and the quality of our soldiers. Make haste to reassure us that you love and support us as we love and support you, for if we find that we have left our bones to bleach in these sands in vain, then beware the fury of the legions.

They were never that common to begin with.  For every Animaniacs and Batman: The Animated Series, there were dozens of shows that were utter crap.  Nostalgia-colored glasses means conveniently forgetting all the terrible shows that were on back in the day.

Cartoon Network cancels good toons without ever giving reasons. Genndy Tartakovsky is getting Samurai Jack back on TV at least... through Adult Swim.

The main reason: they don't sell merchandise (insert Yogurt's speech from Spaceballs here...).

So I saw the Magical Girl Madoka Magica: The Movie Trilogy
Good movie, very nice visuals and the post credits scene shows hell on a hilltop.  >:D
It is a fully story but I think that there is room for a fourth movie.

Yesterday I rented from Redbox and watched:
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. I don't know if this was the theatrical release or the director's cut as it's a rental disc and it doesn't specify. But the movie is 151 minutes long. It was ok.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I liked it a lot, but I thought it was more of a drama than a comedy.

Having just finished rewatching the first of the Librarian movies, I was reminded of how entertaining I find the trilogy - they aren't going to win Oscars, but I do find them genuinely fun. Next up: The Adjustment Bureau. I'm fairly sure the Adjustment Bureau is located next door to the Ministry of Silly Walks.

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

It was to me more comedy than anything else, but certainly also was dramatic...

Watched the 2014 Godzilla movie last night. It was pretty good. Guess I'm looking forward to seeing the new King Kong now.  Wonder how they're going to swing Godzilla vs King Kong, since this Godzilla isn't hostile to humans.

In some ways it's better than the original. It has more character depth and is less campy for starters.

Last night i watched 2 films..
First up was McCarthy's "The boss"..  Decent comedy film, and not as crast as i thought it would have been, other than near the end with all the 'suck this, that/the other' stuff..

Next was Eye in the Sky..  Man was it a good look into the political/legal side of drones...

I liked the Robocop remake.

I just watched Hardcore Henry.

I liked it, but if shaky-cam bothers you avoid this like it has a flesh dissolving virus.  ::)

It was more the whole film being in first person shooter mode that pushed me away from hardcore henry.

I would have almost been tempted to tell that friend after the first 15 min..  "I can't stand this film.  You wanna keep watching it, go ahead, but i am out"..

Just watched Rio for the first time.

Oh God, I am SO GLAD I didn't watch this a week or two ago.  A car pulled in front of me and my motorcycle went down on the pavement.  I was wearing a helmet and motorcycle jacket so no road rash to speak of, but five broken ribs.  I could not have watched Rio two weeks ago.  I could not laugh like Rio made me laugh two weeks ago.

Also just watched Ben Hur in preparation for seeing the new movie of the same name that is in theatres now.  There is a reason that Ben Hur is one of the classics of modern cinema.  Actually there are a lot of reasons.  I will be interested to see how the new movie stacks up compared to the original.

Watched "Kubo and the two Strings".  Good movie made in stop-motion.  Pay attention to the town bell at the beginning of the movie.

I just saw the "Secret Life of Pets", and that was dumb. I know the kids like it, because its a cartoon, but Revolution Bunny was really annoying, and ruined the movie to me.
