3145 Homeclan Update
« on: 12 January 2015, 14:25:28 »
Are there any plans that I've missed for a product showing what's going on with the Homeclans? Or is that something that will wait until the next big timeline jump?

Nothing confirmed on that front yet, not even the time jump.

Homeworlds?  Never heard of them.  Or are you talking about the homeworld of humanity - Terra?

Just a little more salt in the wound there; thank you Lysenko.

But to summarize what's coming
they're dead cuz:
-the WoB got them
-they nuked themselves into the Stone Age
-brain slugs
-zombie Society
-zombie Blood Spirits
-plague got them
-the Hansa got them
-zombie Society brain slugs
-Green Ghosts
-zombie Aleksander K lead them into a black hole

I'm sure I missed some...

The truth is, it's completely dark and we have no indication if that will ever change.

Fletch, this is what happens when you keep piloting Hellbringers.  Crap be blown up.

Sorry. But I miss somethings occasionally in the fluff. So, we don't know if they're gone, just no contact?

It means that their cellphone provider doesn't provide the ability for interstellar phone calls like Vonage. (Or the Homeworld Clans have forgotten to pay their bill and their provider cancelled their contract.)

The truth is the Hansa was a smokescreen run by a RWR remnant that used the disguise to hide them from potential Lyran aggression. Not putting their trust in an potential scheming military, they have spent over a century perfecting sterile biological, non-human constructs linked with advanced cybernetic control systems that serve as the equivalent of every from infantry to Battlemechs and even their small but potent Warship fleet.

Then the Homeworld Clans just had to stick their noses in and well...  had to go.

Just trust me. Many catgirls died for that information.

It's hard to call them since they cut the phone lines and someone killed all the phones in the Inner Sphere.  Makes it pretty tough.

Maybe they had another exodus to be even farther away from the Inner Sphere?

No, the Zentraedi, looking to harvest them for their protoculture, but didn't find any so they wiped them out.

I approve

All jokes aside, WoR built such momentum for homeclan interest it's a real shame CGL couldn't ride it immediately.  I understand and all but  it's been 3 years since we've had a look.  I guess we're not at the gap between FM:U and WoR yet.

Here's hoping the wait is not that long this time!

There was so much momentum that TPTB could only gasp. Some more and they might have suffocate.  ;)

Well now THAT'S an interesting point.

Ha!  The homeworlders did cut the lines of communication well before the black out though.  I really wonder if anyone ever tried to run the blockade and check in on them

Based on an internal company document I haven't seen, it'll be another 7 calendar years before the Home Clans return to the story line.

I just felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Home Clan fans suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced
All Clan totems are equal but some are more equal than others.

"The Succession Wars solved no problem. Their effects, both immediate and indirect, were either negative or disastrous. Morally subversive, economically destructive, socially degrading, confused in their causes, devious in their course, futile in their results, they are the outstanding example in Spheroid history of meaningless conflict."
The Third Star League's view of the Succession Wars, plagiarised from an ancient Terran historian's judgement of the Thirty Years War.
