How about making it a different sort of command vehicle?
One of the problems is stuffing enough stuff in an assault-scaled vehicle that's not externally dripping with guns. So let's go down a different path:

Dual C3 Masters mean it's the lynchpin of a whole company of vehicles. C3 is expensive in BV terms, but not as costly under AS, and can provide some really cool benefits. Back it in its "command platoon" with fire support vees like the Schiltron, then add a platoon of MBTs - I'm sure the Metzger could squeeze and a platoon of solid hovers with C3, and you've got something to frighten people who haven't invested heavily in ECM ;)
I went with laser AMS and RAC-2 to keep with the look. The RAC-2 I think works well here - it's a long-ranged SRM-6, and an effective light vee killer. If it were me, I'd kitbash on a pair of sponson turrets, each with twin SPL, for repelling boarders.
Oh, and if the armour numbers look underwhelming, remember - hardened. Tough cookie. And, I believe, in keeping with the mini.
