You only just asked and the way you worded it was ambiguous about whether you were requesting it or claiming it yourself.

I can take the Ostsol if no one wants it. Confirm, we're talking OstSOL, not OstROC, correct? That one's done elsewhere? (I'm checking in from a phone and searching from here is a pain in the ass)

Would anyone be interested in tackling the Rattlesnake? I'm pretty sure it's out of moratorium at this point.

I might redo and rerelease the Blood Asp MOTW if that is a thing I can do with no objections.

I was a lot younger when I wrote it and I like to think my grasp on the English lexicon has improved since then, so being able to readdress the mech would be neat.

Oatsol = done. That one was a lot of work.

I can do an Ostroc as well if there's interest, but it'll have to be a bit. There's a ton of variants, like it's near-twin, and I need a break for the weekend.

EDIT: Never mind. I couldn't sleep. Two for one!

I'd like to try my hand at writing one up; I could do the Rattlesnake, but it'll be more of an extrapolation of stats since I haven't actually used one.
I am down for ideas for a first article tho! I was actually thinking of making one that compares all physical weapons.

So one of the things I've been focusing on recently is Mechs that both have been in recent Kickstarter and retail lance packs, but have articles over a decade old- I figure that's long enough to grant a new look at old classics, particularly now that all the ones not actually done at all over the years have been filled in like the Osts and Vulcan. Thus articles recently on things like the Herrmes II, Clint, Enforcer, etc.

If anyone wants to run any of that, you're welcome to of course, happy to share my notes on what's out there to work on, with one exception. I'm having a bad week across the board, I'm in need of some catharsis, and so I'm going to cover a Mech next week that gives me every bit of joy to tear down and scream at for some relief.

So stay the hell off the Goliath.

Hmm, looks like the fan articles directory link for the Goshawk doesn't work?  In any event, I think I'd like to try writing a new article for it to discuss the Rec Guide variants.

Since it's Thanksgiving week in the US (well, about to be), I'll see about getting the Goshawk/Vapor Eagle article up Monday.

Ah. OK, I'll hold off on the Shadow Hawk IIC then. I had that ready to go for Monday (as mentioned in the Griffin IIC article), but it can certainly wait!

Has there been an article for the Hellcat yet?  If not, I'd be happy to do a combination of the Hellhound and Hellcat.

There was one for the Hellhound II/Hellcat by wantec

https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=81277.0

And one for the original Hellhound/Conjurer way back when by marauder648

https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,50504.0.html

But if you wanted to do one big combined article for the Hellhound family, I am sure we would love to read it too, quiaff?

Hellcat article's only a year old, so doesn't seem like much point in that, but I can do a revised Hellhound to catch the new configurations from the Rec Guides.

As noted before, I'm focusing on updating aged MotW articles for Mechs that have now appeared in Catalyst-plastic. I've got a list I'm working from for articles older than ten years, which I'm a good sitance into, but wanted to put up my upcoming schedule for the remainder of the year. If anyone has an article to post in December, do it up, I'm happy to bump something out of the way for January- the more in-depth analysis, the better! (And let's be real, the more that comes from a reliable source rather than from ME, the better as well!)

Do note that this is a preliminary thing, and it's quite possible that I'll move things around- the Merlin, being a smaller article, is kind of being kept on standby in case life gets too busy to work on one of the larger ones.

So:

1st week of December: Shadow Hawk IIC (is up, go comment)
2nd week: Scorpion (in progress!)
3rd week: Phoenix Hawk IIC (like the Goliath, a stress-relief article to hate on this thing)
4th week: Pillager (nothing funny there, obviously)
5th week: Merlin (eh)

Again, if people have articles to post, I'm quite happy to bump back anything on the schedule there for a bit into the new year.

I'm ready for my next article, but I'm drawing a blank on what do write. I can do the Rattlesnake, but frankly a medium laser boat isn't much of a conversation topic.

Programming note, in case upcoming articles aren't ready to go on-time, take the extra time you need to get things done and just PM me- the Merlin article is done as of this morning, and I can post it with a couple of minutes' notice if more time is needed by others.

Haven't heard anything about this week, so I'm tossing the Merlin up. I've got the Scorpion mostly ready (just needs images and a couple of the oddball variants touched up), so if no one has anything for next week I can roll that out as well.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: Due to the holiday next week (and the fact that my work computer, where I write my stuff, will be offline) I'll be posting the Scorpion to ruin your holidays either Monday evening or Tuesday morning. It's done, images are embedded, just need to hit 'post'. If someone prefers to take the week instead that's fine, but I'd rather you all enjoy time with family than cram in writing at the last minute if this is all set to go.

Pillager ready to go, posting on the 31st. Phoenix Hawk IIC the following week, that one needs some seasoning on the late-model versions.

Phoenix Hawk IIC is up a day early due to weather in this area knocking power out here and there, just in case.

Hellbie's upcoming schedule, in no particular order:

Jagermech
Phoenix Hawk
Tian-Zong
Black Python

Planning on the Tian-Zong next- there was an article a few years ago, but for reasons unknown Empyrus removed his articles leaving blank pages. I'm reaching out to see if he can re-post those articles, if not I'll take that one and a few of the other missing pages as upcoming projects.
