I thought about pitching "BattleTech Touring the Bars" but I'm not a drinker.

The layout on The last few holiday books fell to me and I was pretty busy last month. I'm glad Blaine at least put something out. :)

Dragon41673, sorry, you may have overlooked where I said "I don't know."
However the same poster who said such a novel was proposed and wondered its status, said it was proposed by Ben Rome, who's no longer working for CGL. So I suggested that he answered his own question.

That's all I got.

Sorry, I missed the parting question: no real post-Reaving news on the Home Clans in a long, long while.
So in other words it was never shot down. Gotcha. Could you get us some info on what the next novel will be? I'm assuming Shadows of Faith because some of that was written already and chronologically would come before the case white book? Maybe?

The author that pitched the book no longer works for the company. I'm not sure how you read anything else into that.

I got the impression the Wars of Reaving was the climax of the "writing the HW clans out of the plot" arc.

I'd safely say (without being involved, by the way, so grain of salt here) that the plan looked more like 'put them aside for a while, return to that chaos some other time down the road when it fits our plans'. With the folks involved in those decisions no longer involved in Battletech (unfortunately), the future may look very different in that regard than it did under Beas/Rome. Equally safe to say that we're not likely to get much in the way of hints from the current administration beyond "Wait and see", "More to be revealed", "Shut the hell up Hellbie", and other such comments.  ^-^

Really though- while the Home Clans aren't everyone's cup of tea, they're clearly popular around here with a lot of fans, and there's a lot of story to tell- particularly after Ben Rome put a bucket on their heads and beat it with a spoon for a while. Our last look in the Supplemental was fascinating, and sets up a very interesting future- it would be almost unthinkable for Catalyst to never go back there again.

Just a brief update to spill about the Turning Points currently in the pipeline (these are somewhere between development (past the pitch stage) and layout). They span from the Second Succession War/Golden Century through the early Republic eras.

Fronc Reaches
Vega 3039
Orbisonia
Tokasha
Lindsay
(or possibly titled, Turning Points: Hansen's Vengeance)

Not necesarrily. But may as well considerate so, until it's revealed otherwise.

I agree with you. There is much potential for TPTB giving them a new chance to re-enter the *game-of-thrones* after being so long hidden behind an interstellar wall (of silence)  ;)

BTW I recognized that he said *post-WOR*. Seeing the TP:Tokasha it gives me hope that we will some more products about the Homeworlds and events there

All depends I suppose, but I think so. We're doing something different there, instead of new RS (because honestly, this story is filled with designs that are as old as the game), we're including a closing piece of fiction. Read it last night and it was quite moving.
