The basis for this design was for a harasser unit, designed to stick mainly at long range to harass an incoming force. Designed with enough armor to take multiple hits from long ranged weapons, the Colonial will strive to open holes in armor, slowing down the advancing army as it has to repair damage, straining supplies, then retreating before the full force can be brought against it.
Mainly designed around campaign play where supplies can be a struggle to maintain on a hostile planet, letting the Colonial's give ground when needed until a stronger force of mechs can be brought in to help.
