The score is one of the reasons I do consider it a sign of the end times.  I did expect Philly to fall off and hard but to be kept scoreless by the Browns?

Yeah somebody may need to check the temperature in hell.

You know, I've (sadly) gotten used to NFL players being arrested/charged with criminal activity, but I didn't expect insider trading to be one of them.

No kidding, I'm watching HBO's Hard Knocks with the Cleveland Browns on DVR. I paused it to get something for my wife during which the Xfinity screen saver came up to deliver news headlines the insider trading charge on Mychal Kendricks.  We had just watched him deliver the inside info on the Eagles offense.

Hmm, Ravens have put Kaare Vedvik on the reserve as a "non-football related injury".

Seems he sustained head injuries when he was assaulted and mugged :(

Well, if he wore his jersey to Cleveland he brought it upon himself.

And man, did they pay for him... not sure it was a good deal. He's amazing- probably the best defensive player in the NFL not named 'Von'. But... man, two first-rounders? For a team trying to rebuild? Owch.

Its not too high a price Id say- the Bears lose two first rounders, but they got an extra second rounder in 2020. Mack is a HoF type player in his prime, so the defense will be top 3 hopefully.

The whole team has now gone from a rebuild to a win-now mode. If Trubisky the QB can deliver, then they ought to be in the thick of it.

Football is a young man's a game.  Trading all the potential tied up in 2 First Round picks for a 27 years old D-lineman is a dicey proposition at the best of times.  Only time will tell whether or not it works out for them.

Which is true, how those picks pan out makes a huge difference. You look at all the picks the Browns stockpiled over the past few years, then at how well they panned out, and it's kind of sad- GETTING a pick is great, but if you use it on repeated busts why did you bother making the trade to begin with?

Either way, there are a few people who guaranteed are not happy about this trade (Stafford, Rodgers, and Trubisky come to mind)...

While normally I'd simply own the error, actually I like the idea of that enough that I'll let it stand.  >:D

Considering that the Bears love competing for the most dysfunctional team in the NFL award it wouldn't surprise me either.

Only the Browns could end a losing streak with a tie.

Patrick Mahomes II is the real deal.  Tyreek Hill owns really hard.

Thank you for reading my report on the Kansas City Chiefs opening game.

The Peter Man should not be in the nfl.

Still counts as a sign of the end times! :D

And Seattle against Denver went about the way I expected it to, okay maybe a tad better for Seattle if I'm being completely honest, but still it looks to be a rough season again with at least some hope of moving in the right direction.

You can't stop Khalil Mack, you can only hope to contain him... and the Packers can't do that, even.

He's singlehandedly murdering Green Bay tonight- god, the Raiders look bad right now for that trade.

The rest of the AFC West is incredibly thankful for Gruden being the Raider's head coach.

The most ridiculous sequence in that play was that the bears were rushing three and there was a free path directly to kaiser

Holy shit that second half though.

I'm not sure if that was Rodgers being Rodgers or the Bears being the Bears.  Either way that should not have happened.

Yay, the Chargers lost!

Also saw the tail end of the Packers game, that was a well-fought fourth.  At least until the end of things, they were really playing weird games with the clock runoff and stopping it repeatedly on DOG penalty.

At least Rodgers is fine, that leg squash looked scary.

I'm not sure if that was Rodgers being Rodgers or the Bears being the Bears.  Either way that should not have happened.

The shot to Allison in the corner of the endzone where Rogers looked off the safety and forced him to double cover the receiver on the opposite side (who was being guarded by a backup corner) was Rogers being Rogers

The bears dropping an easy interception to seal game and giving up the 75 yard bubble screen is pure bears

I see there was a security problem at the Cardinals game, some sort of white powder found on the field that held things up for a moment.  The substance was later determined to be the goal line, and we are happy to report that the Cardinals should be safe from encountering this again this season.

And the Broncos pull another one out of their helmets. It's a rule that Broncos have to beat the Raider at home. Didn't watch the game, but I heard the officiating was absolutely awful.

Patrick Mahomes is threatened only by Ryan Fitzpatrick for league MVP frontrunner through two games.
