This is the Funding thread for Bellerophon BEL-1X from XTRO Primitives III and it needs $800.00 to be Funded.

Current Funding amount is $800.00 and is funded.

GENERAL NOTE: The mech is locked in, no extra variant parts.

@Dak:
Can you provide any guidance for how this thing will be scaled? The 'mech has a pretty chunky/bulky design, like a lot of primitives, but it is also only 60 tons. It's hard for me to visualize how it will look on he hex base, standing next to other 'mechs.

Stinger has been my scaling guy. We did a 3D printed prototype last year to mess around with the scale on this, here's what we aimed at:

I think that's pretty close for where I want it. Like you say, the aesthetic of the primitives has generally been bulky and a bit oversized (which is more or less compatible with the relevant lore on them). The height is about 42mm but I agree that's not a good guide for this bulky 'Mech. (Note that hexbase on the Bellerophon is a Fanjoy creation and not the IWM base, it's about 2mm less in overall diameter).

I doubt there ever will be an "ideal", but that looks pretty good. Thanks!

(In my perfect Universe, I'd probably shrink it another ~2mm shorter, But I'm so happy with the sculpt, I'm not going to complain at all when it releases. :thumbsup: )
