Kapten Bjornsen nodded, “No questions at this time. At least none I can think of. If you’ll excuse me, i’d Like to make sure the transfer is going smoothly.”
Mr. Nakitomi nodded and motioned to the door, “If you need anything let me know. I’ll be glad to help.”
Bjornsen smiled wistfully as he left the meeting with Mr Nakitomi. His thoughts drifted towards the future and the job ahead. “This mission should be a good first blooding for the unit as a whole. Especially for the disparate elements that only worked together in training, like the infantrymen in the Kobold suits and the armor unit. Ah, well. Hilo here we come.”
Upon returning to the landing port for the Dropship, where his team was being loaded onto another Dropship. He looked around and spotted his Senior Tech, and called out to him, “Viir, anything break during the journey and descent?”
Senior Tech Viir Odden replied, “Only my heart. And Trooper Donnar’s hand is healing quite well. He should be healed fully in about a day or two.”
Marius chuckled, “He should have known better than to hit the side of the Demolisher even if it was a drunken bet. At least it was just a fracture.”
The two men looked up as the Mech Lance passed by. “Viir, I have some ideas to help our Mech jocks with their equipment, down the line. But in the meantime, reach out to the techs in the other units we’re basing with and set up supply lines, as well as communication protocols.”
Viir nodded, saluted, and ran off, screaming at some of his techs to be careful with the equipment. Marius chuckled, shook his head and moved briskly off towards the Dropship that would get his command to where they would be for the foreseeable future.
