“Sie fragen sich was?” Molly asks (You wonder what?)
There was a student at the Nagelring with the same last name as the GSF commander who showed great promise as an officer in her future, she was two years behind me. I wonder if it's her or, if they are related, that is all Ms. Malone.

So you are aware, as our Liaison officer you know some of our equipment is antiquated. If you haven't had a chance to look over our TO& E yet, I am constantly on the look out for replacement parts or straight up replacement assets to handle some of our transportation needs. It's extremely hard to find parts for a Cobra, and there NO current atmospheric military aircraft that can carry it's payload. Although in Combine space there are quite a few civilian cargo transports that can, which is why I asked. In case your predecessor didn't pass this along here is a list of equipment, battlemechs, vehicles, and battle armor I want to add eventually to my unit, either as replacements or additions. Some of these I have faced in recent fights or have seen in action from shared battleroms. Forgive the pun but I am a "dog on the hunt". He laughs

"My unit commanders and myself have read the reports and viewed the battle roms you shared with us, but I'm curious,"
turning away from the Liaison officer to look at Ms. Malone. "Ms Malone what is your perception of the current situation on the planet? What if anything, if you were a commander in my situation, would you do to solve a few of the issues at hand?"

“Well Nijero has many people that may help you with your supply problems. MetalStorm is the largest supplier but we do have others. I can setup meetings if you like.” Tekada takes more of the juice he is drinking. “We also have manufacturing business that may also be of help.” Looking over his data pad. “We can also help with introductions with suppliers in the Combine to help you find what you need.”

Molly take a drink of her water then looks at Boshce. “Well I am a civilian and have no military experience. I was born on Nejiro and I am a teacher.” She looks at Tekeda. “I know of the problems that we now face, but not the who, or why. I am not the best person to ask this question.” She looks over all of the people in the Mercenary group. “I am here to help you with the customs and people of Nejiro. A Cultural liaison.”

Introductions to the manufacturers and the representatives of those in the combine would be greatly appreciated. As well as those representatives of metal storm. Please.

Alright Ms. Malone let me ask you this, since it potentially falls within your area of knowledge. How do you think the governor's ardent detractor's would feel if she proposed a temporary alliance with them to push those who are from "away", for example the Word of Blake, pirates, the dezgra clanners?

“Tricky. You must understand that with the many groups here on Nejiro you also have many different points of view. Some think that the Word of Blake, Kokuryu-kai or Clan … dezgra as you put it offer things they want or need. Now if these people were to get what they want from those different groups’ turns out to be what they want is a different thing all together. This world has people that have different ideas on what would be better for the world. As for the pirates, well they are just part of living in this far out. After all the Inner Sphere has to deal with pirates too.”

True, pirates are a fact of life. However unless these separate families can find a unifying ground, then eventually they will encounter the same dead end we just did. They will be forced to fight and kill their friends, their partners, brothers, sisters, mother's, father's, and potentially their children. And let me tell you this. THAT IS NEITHER GLORIOUS NOR HONORABLE. IT IS ABSOLUTELY HEINOUS.( capitolized for emphasis, not telling or shouting, and to distinguish that this was monotoned and inflicted
with grief, horror, and nightmares from the recent past). To a man, my unit has just come from 6 years of this type of war. There are a few others surviving elsewhere, but this is predominantly what is left of the 24th Lyran RCT.
We all have our own nightmares still haunting us, but let me assure you NO ONE(same as above) is left unscathed and there is NO FENCE RIDING in such a fight.

“Civil war is never something one looks for. I understand your concerns having just been involved in one. I am also very sure that Saganami-Sama is doing everything she can to see that this does not turn into that. As for fence riding those that are not working for Nijero’s good are working for their own ends. We are not a Combine world but we are of the Combine and look at things in ways that one would expect of the Combine. I understand you may not understand this, after all you are not of Nejiro.”

"Forgive Ma'am, if I may please call you Molly," this from Major Honeycut, "and please call me Bee, We understand already that to you and the rest of the populous  of Nejiro we are  lowly Gaijin, and at best Ronin. However that gets old real quick, and Duke has little patience for, in his words "Stupid S***", We know what the Wobbies desire the most,  to be the "Masters of the Universe".
The Black Dragon society, from what we know, want things to return to the traditional ways under Tokashi Kurita, where women had lesser status and position then men. So the current governor has to vacate
But what about those who are not allied with these groups? What do they want?
And I can see from the mischievous grin on my lord Duke's face that he has a hairball crazy idea running through his head, the last time he had that look we were on Tharkad pinned between the Kell hounds and Wolf in Exiles forces ,about to be overrun. Do I even want to know?

"No B, you don't, not yet. And boy is it even wilder than the last one." chuckles Duke to himself.

"No B, you don't, not yet. And boy is it even wilder than the last one." chuckles Duke to himself.

“Molly is just fine, thank you …. Bee.” She nods to the older lady, “You are not Ronin. You have a master. Saganami-Sama by the old ways would be your master as you are in her employ. No you are not Samurai, retainers yes, but not Samurai. Gaijin, maybe to those who do not or chose to understand just how things are.” She looks over the cart takes one of the dishes. “Try this.” She offers the dish to Bee.  I think you will enjoy the flavors.” She then picks a couple of other dishes and offers them to the bodyguards. “As for the Kokuryu-kai, they do not truly understand what they want. They forget that under what they base the values they say they hold true many ladies were Samurai as well. Some very respected and honored like Saganami-Sama. Not many will follow the banner they offer.” She looks over the cart once more and offers a dish to Duke. “You may find this to your tastes.” She then looks around at the flight crew. “One moment please.” She walks forward and talks to the flight crew and comes back taking a couple of the dishes and drinks to the flight crew. “Now the Word of Blake is a very different thing. They offer help but at a cost that many just do not understand. When the bill comes due, it is only then that those who were …. Helped …. Understand they were duped.” She sits back down. “Please understand that most Ichizoku …. Families …. will not put their cards  on the table for all to read. Some will as they think they have the winning hand.” She looks to see that all are enjoying the dishes they have. “Now for the ones that think striking a deal with the Akuma …. Der Teufel …. They are going to pay a heavy price.”

“I will offer this. Doing something …. Wilder …. No matter what that maybe, now would not be good.” Looking over at “Duke”. “As I said I am not a military person but doing things that would have Saganami-Sama looking for you and not her other problems would not be good.”

“Molly-san. Mamonaku chakuriku shimasu. Subete o kakuho shite kudasai.” Comes from the flight deck.

“The flight crew informs me we will be landing soon.” She looks to see that all have finished what they have been given and then collects the dishes and brings back the cart back. She collects the dishes and glasses from the flight crew and puts them away.  She then sits down and buckles up.

They all talk until they land. A hover vehicle is waiting for them at the hanger. “We still have a bit of a drive even in a hover vehicle.” Tekada informs them as he opens the door to the vehicle. “It will take a little over a hour to get to Camp Kurawa.”

They will get to the main check point and the Guards will check IDs and have them escorted to Major Franks’ office.

“Mr. Tekada so good to see you again.” They duty officer gets up from behind his desk and shakes hands. “Who do you have with you?”
“This is Herr Bosche. “Duke” as he prefers to go by. Commander of the new company that was brought out here to help with our problems.” He looks to Duke. “His second in command Sho-sa .... Major Honeycut.” He looks at the older of the two ladies. “Their escort.” The two non-coms behind all. “And this young lady is Molly Malone. She will be working with ‘Duke’ and his unit just as Elena does with your unit.” He now looks at the group. “This is Chu-i …. Sorry Lieutenant Franks, Seaton Franks.”
The Lieutenant smiles. “Guten Abend and herzlich willkommen.” He nods to the group. “This way please the Major is waiting for you in her office.” They all walk down the hallway. The Lieutenant knocks on the door. “Major Der neue Befehlshaber der Einheit ist hier.” He looks at Tekada and Malone. “Herr Tekada und andere auch.”
“Senden Sei sei ein.” From the other side of the door.

The Thick wooden door opens to reveal a large well-appointed office  with light wood panels and displays of both ancient and modern weapons on the walls, along one wall is an ornately carved bar depicting ancient Norse scenes of battle, next to the  bar is a large stone fireplace sitting area with fur rugs before it and several  large sturdy wooden log arm chairs. Lying on the fur rugs are two very large wolfhounds. Across from the fireplace is a circular stone conference table that can seat 8. At the far end of the room stand two elementals flanking a large dark wood desk With several arm chairs in front of it. As the group enters several people who were seating in the chairs in front of the desk rise and the tall auburn haired woman rises from the desk and comes around to greet them. She is in an immaculate uniform of dark Blue, she moves with a surprising air of both command and grace that shows she is every bit a warrior, as she approaches them her 6 feet of height is surprising. a trained warrior can tell this is a woman who is not just a commander but a seasoned fighter and warrior in every aspect.

“Welcome to Camp Kurawa gentleman and ladies” she gives a slight bow “Always a pleasure Mr Tekada I hope al is well” she makes a very slight jester as the other officers and a civian woman step forward. “I have asked some of my staff to join us, Elena our invaluable advisor, my  Ex O- First Lieutenant Benjamin Franks and my NCO  Sargent Major Morgan Franks.” Kiah waits for Mr Tekada to make introductions.

(The elementals are dressed in dark fatigues with a battle harness the weapons you can see are a side arm and a laser rifle. )

Kiah acknowledges each as they are introduced with a slight nod. she then indicates the comfortable chairs before her desk. "welcome to camp Kurawa, i hope your transit was uneventful. please make yourselves comfortable."

"OOOO Wolfhounds, it seems like forever since I have seen Wolfhounds". Duke smiles and chuckles at his own joke, while his entourage unable to help themselves smile at the bad joke while also rolling theirs eyes."Any chance you would be willing to part with them? Are they a breeding pair by chance? "He asks as he notice one is a bitch." Any pups? I am most definitely interested if so."

"Sadly Ms. Malone it is not the same Franks that was a schoolmate of mine, probably a close cousin though by the looks of things. Fraulein Oberst Franks I must say I am reasonably impressed, not exceptionally , but reasonably so with the job you have done with the emporungswelle(German for shitstorm) here on this planet between the political dynamic, Wob infestation, and the Motley Crew of mercenaries you are attempting to make into cohesive force. As I was introduced I prefer "Duke", although you should be aware it is not just a "nom de guerre" for me it is also my title, I am also a zwei sterne-general, retired of course, formerly of the Federated CommonWealth 24th Lyran RCT. As "Duke"it alleviates a lot of the protocal questions and ramifications that potentially might arise., and considering my experience I am not easily intimidated nor impressed. Results impress me, and very little else."
"Now on to business. We are relatively fresh from the fighting on Tharkad where we faced our former Fedcom brethern, the Kellhounds and their mercenary allies, as well as members of the Wolves in Exile." His eyes momentarily  flicking to the elementals and back. "My unit is  short on various types of munitions not commonly found in the periphery and according to some of the briefs I have read the Capellan unit has started a manufacturing plant that could help us alleviate some of our shortage after some modifications to his "tool and  dye" settings. We are also willing to work under your command and alongside the other units. Providing that we are not, let us say, "left hanging out in the breeze" without support as I have noticed that has happened in past encounters on the battleroms I have seen. Some of your subordinate field commanders have consistent habits of it as well as not working as a cohesive unit, especially considering how long all of you have been on working here on this planet under contract. It is more  of a herd of sheep rather a pack of dogs or wolves."

Sorry I've been incommunicato, have had RL issues to deal with...  Mother's in the hospital again, and things seem to be getting worse not better.

Also, I still need to do my thing as a committeeman with the election only days out, not that my mind is really on that crap with mother not well, but it's a responsibility I took on, so such is life.

Anyway, that's why I haven't been answering phones or posting to the boards for a while.

Hope all is well with everyone else, will try to get back into things sometime soon.
