the old sidewinder controler by ms

i had one for a while give or take almost 8 years the damn thing works very sweet with any ms mechwarrior series and works best om mechwarrior 3. sadly it will not work with win 7 and i had been looking for a way to make it work again with no luck ....i cannot even find a homebrew freeware shareware or any ware to get it to work with win 7 any help?
as for ms help well they prety much say you are stuffed.

It's an eight year old piece of hardware, it might not even have USB support (depending on the model, SideWinder is the name of the line of peripherals). If that's the case I'm not surprised Microsoft isn't much help. At some point the tech is going to progress past where old equipment can be used.

yah but it still works with my xp system the problem is win 7 compatibility.
