I've been watching too many Late, late show with Craig Ferguson on YT so I decided to watch a couple of movies with him in it. First was 'Then Came You', a romcom with Kathie Lee Gifford as the female. Not bad, not great with a typical ending. Second was 'Brave' which I hadn't seen since it came out. It was just as good the 2nd time around.

My roommate had a kid a few months ago so the baby and his girlfriend have been watching all kinds of Disney movies.

I have watched Moana more times than anyone should. Both Frozen and Frozen 2 are nearing a number I can’t count to.

They aren’t nearly as bad as I feared.

That and Hallmark movies, which are worse.

The problem with Disney these days is not that they produce bad movies but that they own everything.

true but dredd is more of a brit and european thing than US. my cousins in england had been into dredd since early 80s i did not come to know about dredd till about 1990. not sure how dredds popularity is in australia you would have to ask someone from there...while my friends who had been stationed in japan and hong kong area only were able to get it through specialty stores and only in english

Wasn't Dredd one if the first of the latest generation of 3D? I remember some mention of the 'slo-mo' portrayal being considered cheesy in reviews.

I believe that 3D had been around for a few years before it hit theaters, but it was definitely designed with 3D in mind.

The Trial of the Chicago 7- very political, but pretty good courtroom drama movie.

Yea, that whole 'time slowed down' with that drug thing, was cool the first time, but got old real fast.

IN honor of Connery, i got half a dozen of those either i never saw before, or its been a long time since i saw them.
First up was "In the name of the rose.. Man i forgotten Slater was in that movie... Still a good flick.
Then came Rising sun.. Always loved that.
Then i TRIED to get through Time bandits. Man if i ever saw it before, i must have been stoned and drunk to have seen it, cause i couldn't get past 20 miniutes without turning it off..

Got "Bridge too far, First knight and Medicine man left"...

Time Bandits is definitely a movie who's modern popularity is due to nostalgia filters.

I barely got past where thye were stealing from Napoleon. SO no, didn't get to where connery was.. ANd he was the only reason i even got it.
