Or you could get a MWDA infantry man, paint it flesh tones . . . . except for that little bit of red at the hips for the thong.

FYI, Steelwarriorstudios has got some pilots and techs in 6mm scale :

https://steelwarriorstudios.com/products/mech-pilots

https://steelwarriorstudios.com/products/tech-personnel-set

No experience with them myself, so I can't vouch for the crispness/level of detail...

Not right now, waiting to hear back with some more info. I am pretty sure we will not be able to proceed with it. When I have more info I will share it.

I would be happy to " stimulus " this.

Mech scale Pilot, one sprinting with a " Helmet, flight suit with webbing, micro pack on back "  to denote ejection and/or Parachutist Infantry <-> Mechwarrior.

See in most of my games, we assume that each Infantry unit is either hex'd ( squad ) or on a single surface ( alone ).

And when one unit is damaged, we lie it down prone, just like mechs. If there is a Medic present, it gets revived to move, but not shoot, otherwise it is out of the game. ( This means, yes the Medic is treating and both can't shoot, only move. ) If the unit ( Squad base ) is down a large margin ( Morale check gone bad ), the whole group scatters ie: single pieces ( Routed ).

How much would a single Pilot ' strip " cost? ( Both to add complexity to Tabletop, and fluidity to the game. ) I mean, how many times have you've don a rescue for an important MW that ejected safely, but had no ' official ' representing piece?

I'd assume it gets done plastic first perhaps, or that this option is explored first at least. That Evans and Pardoe company probably.

It was mentioned that it could be on list for future KS. I did not realize initially it was also a new art for the black Python.

Given that Leviathan Kickstarter didn't even start there won't be BT Kickstarter for quite a few years.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten that one was coming up at some point. Still, I wouldn't be surprised at another, smaller Battletech Kickstarter in the next 18 months.

I would . . . expect them to go Leviathans next year if they do not this year- like BT & Shadowrun timed for Cons.  After Leviathans . . . I would expect them to return to Shadowrun, giving them 4 years? since the last KS.  Which means IF Leviathans goes off this year, I would expect another BT KS possibly in '23 though '24 is more likely.

Fair, but there's something to be said for striking while the iron is hot. While I would certainly appreciate more Leviathans stuff (maybe a smaller box this time? please?), I can't see them waiting more than 18 months or so before tapping into that renewed Battletech magic. In any case, I think it would be foolish to not capitalize on the reception of the new sculpts. Maybe that's not Kickstarter, though, but it did prove effective.

No other period or set of releases is going to have the same draw as Clan Invasion- especially since the 'picked' lances went to old IS designs.  The topic has been discussed quite a bite, so no reason to clutter up a IWM release topic.

Early returns seem to indicate they’re going to clean up at least some of the 3055 unseen. The Galahad was Scroggafied on his patreon as well so it seems probable with thirteen volumes to go that we’ve got a good chance at seeing the kraken and the IIc club. Maybe they’ll get totally wild and throw in the comstar trio

While I don't doubt for one second that we'll see that trio eventually, I STRONGLY suspect we won't see them in any publication until after the Recognition Guides series is done. Do you really see anyone resurrecting those mechs post-Jihad?

There probably isn’t an in-universe explanation for reviving what just happen to coincidentally be the exact twenty-two classic unseen, but we’re definitely headed in that direction. Once the fortress walls up I can easily see the republic going to Skobel and Krupp to see if they have any options for expanding their lines

Ultimately this is really about crossing nostalgia with sweet new minis and art. so yeah I definitely think it’s plausible. Hopefully we’ll get a decent number in metal

So far, the following non-KS Mechs have been shown on Anthony's Patreon :

concept sketch :
Ostsol
Ostroc
Black Python (already in Rec Guide)

concept sketch + 3D render :
Annihilator
Glass Spider

Anthony also mentioned that several IICs are being worked upon (my guess is at least the Jenner...)

IIRC, both the Scorpion and Goliath quads were mentioned by the powers that be as being on the list for a facelift/redesign.

Apart from that, who knows. Personally I hope they'll include a couple of IS "Classics" (Vindicator, Cicada, etc.)

You're correct, but only in the sense that this isn't what's happening in-universe because the Classics/Unseen never actually left production and as a result there's no revival taking place.

so not really a request for fan financing as it is "Future Proofing" a miniature.

when IWM get's  around to the Lightning, would it be possible to configure the mini so you can choose whether to make it, or the THN-2L Thunder.  this way we get a de facto resculpt of a mini as well as a new mech
