Speck...didnt want to bug Mike with this. What's the word on finishing off the AGOAC minia in metal? Pending still are the BattleMaster, Awesome, and Wolverine.

Still going to happen.

Still going to happen.

Any rough idea as to when? I get asked this a lot for when they will be stocked.

@IWM (and the Community)
Would be nice to see them...

You will, but it is going to be years.  See Dragon's comments about the GoAC all being released . . . those have been out for a couple years and there are still those 3 to go while the KS 1st wave plastics have not even been out a year.  Now, without covid (and knowing NOTHING about their plans) they MIGHT have had them out by this point with the previous versions of the release schedule . . . and MAYBE the Valkyrie and Wasp that had been available previously.

It sucks, but just going to have to wait- heck I was agitating for the Wolverine earlier and it looks like we might still be a while.  IMO it is a toss up as to how they get to us first- IWM or the new assemble plastics like the Black Knight that just went proof of concept.

Wolverine will be out before the other two. It missed being in the summer release. Other two have not been started yet but will be next for the sculptor who is assigned to finish them.

I do not know the agreement between IWM and CGL for the Kisckstarter mechs. As for the mechs from original box sets, I wanted them out faster but there were issues out of my control that delayed that goal.

Wolverine soon is great news for me . . . wonder if the TDR-1C big gun would fit for a -9M mod on the Classic.

As for KS vs GoAC . . . my point was that was 9 mechs from years ago and we are still having them seeded into the production schedule.  The KS has a LOT more mechs, so I expect them to take years.

With the War Crow out, what are the prospects for a Carrion Crow?

The Classics that I want to see most now are the Archer and Marauder.

Then yes, you are referring to the Classics.

The discussion formalized the terms shortly after we got it first glimpses of the new art, and goes like this:

Unseen: The original art.
Reseen: Project Phoenix-style art.
Classic: Redesigned art harkening back to the Unseen, as used in the current crop of boxed sets, Recognition Guides, and the Kickstarter.

Feel free to ignore folks who say nuSeen, that's not really a thing. ;)
I tend to roll my eyes and shake my head in Wonder about those that say "nuSeen".   ::)

Things still have time to derail, but so far GenCon is apparently going to have a convention in September of this year and IWM and Catalyst have said they are going to be there. As someone who lives relatively close to Indy, I hope it ends up happening. Probably a long shot, but I also hope to see the Raider make an appearance at the IWM booth.
It IS happening, September 16-19.  I'm not sure WHAT it would take to cancel it at this point.  They were Supposed to start mailing out Badges and Tickets on 31 July, so we're past the "Point of No Return".

Most of it is never really exclusive . . . you just get first shot.
Some of it is either Exclusive to Conventions OR the Online Store, and I know of at least 1 "Online Only" Retailer (Aries) that can sell them.  Otherwise, you can't find them in your local store.

And then again Yes, SOME things ARE Convention Exclusives.  I don't know that they've ever sold the clear resin Exterminator anywhere other than at Conventions.  So if you didn't make GC '17 or '19, you're Out Of Luck.  I've got a pair from each year/production run, and the last run was better than the original.  Well, I think the Detail was the same, but the original ('17) was a cloudy/clear, and the newer ('19) was a crystal/clear.

Also, I got TWO of the "Golf Cart of Doom!" at GC '19, and it is NOT available on their store!

No, my FLGS now orders directly from IWM and they can get those 'online exclusives' as well.

You could get the resin exterminator but only because I imagine they had a surplus and had to email the booth gents from BV Traders directly. I was out of fun money when the opportunity arose  :'(

Not to clutter things here, but if the Delta variant (or whatever one we are on by then) seems like it's spiraling out of control and either Indy, the Convention Center, or GenCon decide they can't take the risk then it won't happen and those badges will be pretty worthless (although they might make an interesting collector item). I don't think that's likely, but it is within the realm of possibility.

I must've overlooked the Golf Cart of Doom.

With some other companies I was intending to spend money on not being there, BattleTech might end up being the big expense for me this year at GenCon. Just trying to decide if I need more vehicles or more Mechs from IWM to add to the pile of plastic mechs on the way.

Honestly, no matter how bad COVID gets, I think that the political authorities would not allow Gencon to cancel.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

I'd like to see the AS-7K2 Atlas get a mini before the kickstarter version gets made.

Hooooo boy. After reading IlClan I can't wait to get my hands some new models. Jade Phoenix, Crusable, Amorak, very interesting stuff. Hopefully IWM has a fast turn around. <3

All of them but the Jade Phoenix have already shown up in the Rec Guides (with the green chicken expected to show up in the final wave).

It was said in the Fan Funding thread that it would have to be Fan Funded.   :-\

I'd pitch in on it, but I'll never Fully Fund another mini.  Still too disappointed on the one I did, PLUS I've NO idea what I'd do with that much Store Credit now!   :o  That credit before helped me "Play Catch Up" and fill out my Collection.  Now I just need to buy the occasional new mini (in pairs or Lances, depending on What they are) to keep my Collection "Current".     I could go for $50.00 or even $100.00 though!

Got any friends or relatives who play the game?  Minis make decent birthday/Christmas presents, especially if they're ones that the person wouldn't normally be getting, like the online exclusives.

I've got 3 Friends/Brothers that like BT.

One is like me, and rarely gets to play.  When he does, it's usually with me.   ;D   Sadly, that isn't all that often as he's about 3.5 hours away, with a Family and grandkids, so he's pretty busy.  He's got a modest Collection, but like me, he buys new minis that catch his eye.

The other 2 are a Father/Son, with the Father recently remarried.  After 22 years of the Cold Shoulder from his last Ex, the Father is now more interested in his wife and "Extracurricular Activities" than ANYTHING else.   ;D   The Father has quite a BT Mini Collection, but it's currently in storage.  In MY basement.  ;D  The Son has 2 part-time jobs, and I haven't heard from him since early this year.  :-\  He's got 20 or so minis, but I don't have any idea what he's into.

Again, I'd go as much as $100.00 towards the Lich Quad, Probably the same for any other Quad except the Celerity.  Sorry, but I just don't care for the Art for that one.   :-\  Then again, I didn't care for the Art for the Sarath, but I LOVE the mini for it.     Same thing for the Jaguar.  My feelings for the Art got upgraded to "Ehhh, it's ok." after the minis were released.  There's a few others that I can't think of at the moment that I didn't care for the Art, but I liked the mini enough to get a pair of them.  I'd help out with any Quad-Vees also!
