I foresee entire regiments of Regents painted gold and sporting pistachio-shaped headgear.

IWM's should do that as a extra!

What's the Defender Warship from?  Is that the assault dropship or an actual warship?  I don't seem to find a listing for a Defender-class warship on the MUL.

It's there

I keep forgetting that the MUL has multiple tab arrangements.

That ship is... suggestive.

Battletech warships tend to follow an unfortunate design principle. TRO 3057 notwithstanding, they all skew towards the suggestive side. I'd honestly prefer more of the blockier design aesthetic from 3057, because at least they were all distinct.

Can I ask you guys that order regularly, do any of the more common mechs use the re-seen models or new designs? (like AGoAC Catapult vs tall skinny Catapult)

I don't understand the question. IWM sells everything. Unless its an Unseen or one of the really old minis that got resculpted due to mold deterioration, you can get it from IWM. All the Reseen are still available, and there are like a half dozen different Catapult sculpts that you can buy. The tall skinny one is unfortunately not among them, as it is one of the aforementioned minis whose mold deteriorated.

The BattleMaster and Awesome are due later this year, which will mean all mechs from the AGoAC box will be in metal. The ostscout was the first done in metal well before the KS and is the new style

The Limited Edition tall Catapult is still available on the store.  Which I think comes with the missile launchers in addition to the PPCs.

That is "a" tall Catapult. It's basically 1st sculpt legs with a new, 2nd sculpt-size torso. The 1st sculpt is no longer available.

There was another tall Catapult?  Wow.  Lot of sculpts for that mech.

Yes, six distinct sculpts, if memory serves:
PlasTech
1st (metal)
2nd (MechCommander) metal
3rd Beginner Set/Alpha Strike (1st upper torso with modified 2nd legs) metal and plastic
4th Limited Edition (Modified 2nd torso with 1st legs) metal
5th AGoAC metal and plastic

The tall ones (from CSO)

For the box sets, they essentially took the torso and modified legs to make it possible for use as a single piece in plastic. The result was a much smaller torso and very shortened legs.

And for "Completion's Sake", there was also the old RPE/MFUK Catapult the CPLT-K2, long before IWM decided to make one.  But all the MFUK sculpts are now OOP.   :'(

I hope more warships come out again. Maybe not the pace as before, but it would be nice to see 2 or 3 each year.

Pretty sure the 3rd Beginner Set/Alpha Strike (1st upper torso with modified 2nd legs) metal and plastic, was a totally new sculpt like the other beginner set mechs. The body and legs are to small to be used from previous models.
