Pretty sure the 3rd Beginner Set/Alpha Strike (1st upper torso with modified 2nd legs) metal and plastic, was a totally new sculpt like the other beginner set mechs. The body and legs are to small to be used from previous models.
I sculpted them. ;) The upper torso was a production part, not master. Legs as well, but heavily modified. Shrinkage through the molding process was significant. None of them were totally new sculpts. Existing minis were modified.

We do need the Stefan Amaris Class at the very least.

Yes, I would love a Enterprise class ship too.
But I want all of the ships

Ironically enough, I bulked up some of my 25th Anniversary era plastic Catapults with legs from MW:DA Ravens ...

Well, they are not shipping to New Zealand anyway for some inexplicable reason, so I can't get an order in before. Or ever.

It's because worldwide shipping is still a horrible mess.

I buy from US retailers all the time, they ship with UPS, it's usually faster and cheaper than USPS.

Here in Oz in the same boat (or lack thereof).  Understand the imperative, and I even have money on hand for the purpose, but it'll have to go elsewhere.

I would suggest buying from other US BattleTech retailers before the increase then.

Now I know why Speck said the reason the Defender price was TBD because they were figuring out the price for after the price hike.

The costs for the materials that Iron Wind Metals uses have all risen dramatically, especially the cost of pewter, which is more than double what it was in December of 2020.

I need to double check New Zealand. I know Australia USPS just started sending some packages again.

UPS and FedEx is not cheaper for a company the size of IWM to ship internationally. The rates companies pay differ based on their size and how much they ship.

Do you have any idea what percentage prices will increase by? Doubling material is huge, but final price also includes labor and fixed costs, which are.. probably not going up as much?

Thanks for the notice, that helps plan for it. Would it be greedy of me to ask if the Spring releases will go up with the same website maintenance?  ;D

Question for me in germany is, as i would like to order in one go, instead of second run:

When will the spring releases be available? Or can i order them right now (through a note)?

They haven’t hit retail yet. Once they do IWM observes a period of store exclusivity for a month or two before making them available on the webstore

Spring 2022 release have not come out yet and are still several weeks away. We had a chance just before I posted them so we are waiting for the 4th mech to come from the printer.

I'd like to echo this question, even if all we get is a ballpark answer.  I'm currently sitting on a small list of items I want to pick up, and if the price bump is anything but trivial I think it'll push me into ordering ASAP.

Any chances the Defender will see release a bit earlier?

Is it still possible to pick up orders on site?  I'll be in that region in the next couple weeks.

Speck,

Just from idle interest (having just dropped a pre-price-rise order),

- What is the current best selling BT mini?
- Pick one BT mini which hasn't sold this year?
- Any idea of the non-store average order size?
