Don't forget the Panther and Wolfhound variants.
And the Football Atlas.
Wait, by all means DO forget that one.

Just be glad it doesn't have all the spikes and tusks that the Dark Age mini had.  It was truly a mech for the post-apocalyptic Australian Outback.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Kuma done by Scroggins & team.

Somewhat related, check out Sleeping-Demons DeviantArt page for some Mech pixel art (including a Kuma 2).

Ok that's a pretty cool surprise! Just a quick note, the Valkyrie link seems to go to the Wasp page.

And I thought I was done spending money on minis for the year....

Cool to see those molds are still available.  Is there a reason they are typically taken out of circulation?  If that is not something that can be answered no worries.

I was wondering about that too. The Wasp disappeared right at the beginning of the decisive lawsuit and never really came back, I don't even know if the Valk made it to stores.

Valkyrie never got released, was just finished when Wasp was pulled.

Thanks, speck. Are they "vaulted" now due to limited demand or is there another reason you can share?

I think it was more of a case that they didn't match the new artwork.

Oh, OK, so they were early models that underwent some changes later? Understandable.

Speck could give you the official answer, but those two minis came out before the Kickstarter redid all the Macross-dervived mechs and used different art.

Yes, there was a time when it appeared CGL was willing to use the Dougram art and authorize miniatures with very similar design to the old 1980s minis, but then the final Harmony Gold lawsuit paused further activities until that was resolved.

They came out before the first KS like the Shadow Hawk, but were pulled / not released when the lawsuit happened. They are based on the same art as the CGL minis.

Must be something with the angle or lighting of the images, then, because they look similar but different to my plastics.

There were some minor alterations between some of the designs that appeared in the Combat Manuals and First/Second Succession War and the versions in the Kickstarter, which probably accounts for it.
