Chicagoland December Battletech game. (Dec. 11th)
« on: 28 November 2021, 22:43:30 »
Hello,

The annual December "Kill the agents" will be on December 11th.

The game is at Games Plus.
(Start time approx. 11:00)
101 W. Prospect Ave.
Mt. Prospect, IL 60056
Phone: 847-577-9656
http://games-plus.com/

The rules for the players are as follows:
1. You must select 2 book stock mechs from any TRO up to and including 3085. Record Sheet products are also okay. It must have a legitimate record sheet. Experimental units are not allowed from those products either. With all of the TROs, you can ask if one of those will work and I will approve it or say nay. Please post here or PM if you would like to ask about a unit.
2. No artillery of any kind is allowed.
3. Any type of C3 is only shared between your two mechs. Just the same, Narc or any other group benefit weapon only helps your 2 unit team.
4. You get 6000 BV2 to pick your units. This includes their piloting and gunnery and other modifiers to BV such as c3.

The standard Chicago rules apply.

I and my fellow agents have some nice painted mechs up for grabs for the for the person who kills the mech. One per player to make sure everyone gets something.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Clarification question:

Is a Mech such as the T configurations of the Battle Cobra and Night Gyr, both of which are post 3085 in-universe but which mount only tech that was tournament legal as of TRO: 3085, legal to use? Many of the new IlClan Recognition guides feature mechs that don't have post-3085 tech but appeared after that date in-universe.
To the utmost!

Those were the kind of things I meant. Yes, to both the T and F variants on the Night Gyr and Battle Cobra.

Thanks. I just like the idea of trying out something new as a way to add flavor and improve my game play.

I might try to show up for an hour or two but it's doubtful with 2 grad classes wrapping up next week.

Just confirm, Record Sheet Mechs not mentioned in the TROs are ok? I have the TDR-11E Thunderbolt in mind.

Also, for respawns, does it have to be the same 2 Mechs, or should we feel free to bring multiple designs so long as they meet the BV2 limit?

You can respawn with other units. The bv will most likely need to be close, but this is meant to be fun.

Did you mean the Thunderbolt TDR-11SE?
