On p. 48 of TO:AR, it's stated that ice will always break on a 1d6 roll of 6 regardless of tonnage (with an explanation that the dispersed weight of heavier units means that breakage chances shouldn't scale with tonnage). That being said, the publication of these rules predates the rules for superheavy BattleMechs, which have many of their own exceptions, so I thought it might be prudent to ask if it's still a 1 in 6 chance for a superheavy to break through ice.
