(Answered) Reflective armor and heat
« on: 03 August 2022, 21:27:04 »
Reflective armor BMM page 114, TacOps AUE page 93 (retrocover).

While both books state that Reflective Armor halves heat effects from attacks, TacOps specifies heat from energy weapons, whereas BMM's wording has the heat effect halving clause as separate sentence. This could be interpreted as inferno or other non-energy weapon caused heat getting halved.

Which is intended? That heat effects get halved only from energy weapons or all attacks?

Also, presumably reflective armor has no effect on environmental heat, such as fires?

The heat-reducing effect only applies to the weapons that are previously listed as being affected by reflective armor.

As such, reflective armor has no effect on environmental heat, inferno missiles, or any other sources of external heat.
