Looks like there's no intention to get rid of Vance Joseph. That means one of two things: Either they're tanking for the draft, which seems unlikely as many picks as they keep trading off to everyone else, or Payton is keeping him around to use as a scapegoat if things continue to be this bad for the rest of the season. Neither is going to make for a fun stretch of Sundays for the Hellbie house.

Amazingly, the Bronco's defense wasn't the worst in fantasy football last week due to the return TD. That and there's a cap of negative points somewhere in the 30s.....

If your scoring system doesn't give maximum negative points for giving up the all-time offensive points in a game record (every other 70 point game included a non-offensive touchdown) then your scoring system is dumb.

I'm sure it will be adjusted next year....

Lions looked good tonight. That was a game they needed to just win, and not play down to the competition. This team is reminding me of the ‘95 Lions, not so much in comparable play style, but in that hungry plucky underdog not afraid to mix it up with anyone kind of style.

Lions did great exploding with offense tonight.  But it's that tentative, conservative-style play in the second half that could have let Green Bay come back that irked me and a few others.

In the end though, we can't complain.

49ers are looking good, but might be very depended on McCaffrey. But fun to watch :)

Two weeks ago, Denver came out looking fantastic in the first half against Washington, then kind of wilted and died in the second, allowing the Commanders (I still hate that name) to roll over them in the end.

Yesterday felt like a reversal of that, as Chicago ran roughshod on Denver all through the first half, Justin Fields looked like the second coming of Joe Montana, nothing could go right for the Broncos, and then... halftime, and the teams just switched roles. Denver gets their first win of the season, and while it's hard to be too thrilled with playing well for half of a game against the league's worst team, LOSING to them would have been a lot worse.

Credit to Wilson, who has quietly had a pretty good season so far overall- not his old self by any means, but good enough that if his defense holds up once in a while, he can win games. That was, famously, not the case a year ago.

Jets next week. Yay.

Not my team but reading about CLE and Hunt pairing again, I saw the two things on Da Bears. One, the DC resigns two weeks into the campaign (WTF?) and they released their #2 QB, keeping only a guy who was the Break Glass guy last year?

any Bears Fans with insight?

After watching yesterdays game, I think I know why you haven’t got any response, 😂.

Figured Miami would come back down to earth.

I feel bad for the Jets; defense helped get them back in the game, and Zach Wilson played pretty good overall. I hate that it came down to that fumble and a pretty bed call. The Chiefs on the other hand seem to really be playing down to their competition.

New England has definitely fallen, but what the heck happened to the Bengals? I figured the AFC Championship game was going to include two of these three teams: Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals, and figured the one left out would be because one of the two left knocked the third out in the Division round.  But man, the Bengals just look horrible.

Bandwagon rolling in the Bay Area, can tell you I haven't seen this much red and gold on weekends in forever, at least since they lost the Super Bowl to the Ravens back in 2013.

IMO it's less that the Chiefs play down to their competition than Andy Reid really doesn't like to pull any more toys out of his toybox than he absolutely has to in the regular season.  That and Mahomes is still working on gelling with his WR room.  I'm not worried about it.

Also, that wasn't a bad call unless you are talking about calling a facemask a safety.  Definitely a bad call.  As to the hold all I can say if you don't want to see the holding penalties, stop holding.  If you alter the receiver's trajectory outside five yards, you going to get called, especially when you do it right in front of the ref.

New England has definitely fallen, but what the heck happened to the Bengals? The Bengals is all about Joe Burrow and he's playing hurt.  The Bengals get a LOT better as soon as his leg gets better.

Don't know if anyone else saw it or if it's still available to view but Disney+ did a Toy Story animated co-broadcast of the Jags-Falcons game.  It was kind of fun to watch.  It was the actual game but animated with Toy Story characters on the sidelines.  Slinky Dog was the first down chains.

Edit:  Yep, checked and it's still available for replay.

With about 5:26 to go, it’s possible they might give up 10 dimensions of sacks…one more to go. The sad thing is Seattle doesn’t really look that “good”, either, just the Giants look that horrible.

There just went sack number 10 as I type this.

God bless John McCay.

I'm still bummed about Trevon Diggs hurting his knee. Not only does it impact the Dallas D but we don't get to see the Diggs brothers take each other on this year.

I'm a Randy Gregory fan but I was so glad when the Cowboys managed to miss out on that contract, it was just too much for him. It's looking even better now, sorry Hellbie.

Largely the same bears as the first half vs the broncos last week. It was the second half where they stopped meaningful participation
