Continuing the 2023 Season at Summit Comics and Games in Lansing, on April 1st, I'll be running an advanced version of the "Hunter's Hunted" free-for-all scenario: this time with Clan and Advanced tech 'Mechs. Setup starts at 2:30p.m., we start rolling dice at 3:00p.m. Rules are as follows:

Hunter's Hunted, part 2

Rules of the Game:

Choose your favorite two BattleMechs: one light and one heavy.

Before the game starts, you draw a name from the hat. Keep it hidden, that's who you are hunting!

You start out with your heavy 'Mech and hunt down your target. However, someone out there is hunting you!

If you get destroyed, you hand the name of the person who you were hunting to the person who destroyed your 'Mech. They are now hunting your target. And you take your light 'Mech onto the battlefield. You can target any 'Mech regardless of who you were "hunting" before. But beware, anyone on the field can fire on you!

If you're in your heavy 'Mech, you can stalk any 'Mech on the field you like. However, you can only fire on the heavy 'Mech you're hunting. And if someone is in a light 'Mech? They're fair game!

Last heavy 'Mech standing wins the match and the precious bragging rights that come with it!

NOTE: I'll have a number of heavy 'Mechs and light 'Mechs that you can choose from. However, please feel free to bring your own two 'Mechs that you want to play (and show off those sexy paint jobs!). And if you need a record sheet printed out, please let me know before the game so I can have it there when we play.

Couple issues that came up:

1. Active Probes: "Targeting (Optional)" on page 110 of the Battletech Manual is in effect for this game.

'Targeting (Optional): If a target is within the probe’s range and line of sight exists to the target, reduce the total Target Number modifier for firing through and into woods/jungles by 1'

2. Special Munitions: "Missiles"
Magnetic Pulse Missiles (both Inner Sphere warheads and Clan iATM) are allowable for this scenario.
