Getting back into Battletech novellas
« on: 25 May 2023, 00:12:24 »
Hi, 30 years ago when I was in college, I was really into the Battletech novels. Particularly the ones written by Michael A. Stackpole, because his novels cover an overarching storyline of the major players & events in the Clan Invasion.  I am currently trying to get back into the Battletech novels, and I was wondering if there are any recent releases that is like similiar to Stackpole? Or which novel should I start to quickly get caught up about the current battletech universe?

If you want to catch up and that is your main goal (I am assuming to the ilClan era and where everyone is), I would point you towards the following:
Redemption Rites
A Question of Survival
The Damocles Sanction

Those three are the current spine novels for the era and will get you up to speed.
There are more books in the ilClan era (really good books, so reading the is a good idea), but those three should catch you up.
