(Answered) BA LB-X vs. Conventional Infantry
« on: 13 July 2023, 21:48:57 »
So when you shoot with a Squad of Battle Armors missile weapon you multiply the size of the launcher by the size of a squad (so the SRM2 of the Elementals becomes essentially a SRM10) which does a maximum of 20 damage. when shooting CI you take this maximum and divide it by 5 down to 4. (Page 215 TW)

When shooting with standard scale weapons, you make a cluster roll using the column for how many suits are in the squad and apply each hit of damage (burst fire or otherwise) separately. (Page 218 TW)

however what about the BA LB-X? TO:AR Page 98 Merely says to treat it as a missile attack, so should it be treated as an LRM4 against infantry? or should the damage vs. CI be tracked per suit (which is 4/10+1 Round Up), then do a cluster roll?

You treat it as a single LB-X gun of size (4 x live troopers), and go with the existing rules for cluster ballistic weapons vs infantry.  So a full strength Point with a single BA LB-X per trooper would do exactly as much damage as an LB-20X would.
