Introduced one of my mom's friends to Godzilla Minus One.  She really enjoyed it.

I Didn't mind season 1, season 2 was ok..  The rest.. UG..  Though i will admit i DID love the special effects...

Apologies it was made in 1948.
We hear that there are tumults and riots in Rome, and that voices are raised concerning the army and the quality of our soldiers. Make haste to reassure us that you love and support us as we love and support you, for if we find that we have left our bones to bleach in these sands in vain, then beware the fury of the legions.

I liked the first season of Primeval but after that I felt like it just started going further and further off the rails.

My son wanted to watch an "old fashioned" Western, but in color. So, we went ahead and watched The Big Country, which was the first time for me as well. Kinda surprised Charlton Heston played a supporting role since he was at the height of his career. Also, I found Gregory Peck to be kinda off putting since I never viewed him as a sort of archetypal Western hero. Chuck Connors was also a baddie in this, which surprised me. All in all, its above average, but not as good as my favs in the genre.

I watched parts of Fallen: man, that's a classic-90's movie.

Predator: Prey, was a Blue-Ray, and VLC didn't recognize it and I didn't feel like updating, so, I'll watch when I find it on a DVD.

Watch The Gunfighter. Gregory Peck stars in it as Jimmy Ringo, a gunfighter and fastest gun in the west, trying to leave the game.

It’s one of the absolute best westerns ever made.

I actually wanted to queue that on streaming, but my son doesn't like B&W movies. He thinks theyre too old fashioned.

Crazy attitude to have. I find that black and white films often seems crisper and cleaner to me than many cooor films.

Plus there are a ton of truly excellent films in black and white.

ok my neighbors kids finished watching all 5 seasons of primeval absolutely loved it been at it since friday  and had been with me till few minutes ago...mom is happy to have 2 days free i am exausted at least they clean after themselves...but dishes are mine!
so next weekend its either greatest american hero first season and only that second and 3rd were horrible
they had not seen knightrider or airwolf so thinking on introducing them to those and kidd video...or pole position along with the littles
good plan or i should be throtled?
ohhh i do make them take breaks and run outside weather permitting ...deal is one episode = 1 hour outside running around kicking ball or frisbee or playing tag with other kids....if indoors its homework time but that is when its too cold or raining

For Airwolf, definitely avoid the last season.  Have you considered Quantum Leap?

He's 14 and of the TikTok generation, so if its in B&W then its a no-no.

I then watched The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023), its a chapter in Stoker's Dracula about the ill-fated ship the count was traveling in on his way to England. God awful movie. Though the acting was kinda decent, the awful script with plot holes bigger than a ship just sunk it. In most horror movies you expect stupid characters to do stupid things, but the ones in here were simply the dumbest ever. Dont waste your time. Rating 2/10

Yeah, I saw the colour version when it came out over here, then again on Netflix and the B&W version when it showed up there too.  And then when it had a single screening in my local cinema I made a beeline.

THis is why i am glad i have no kids of my own, as i'd be seen as a real "baaaadddd" dad, as i would prohibt those sorts of accounts/electronics, till the are able to buy them ON THEIR OWN.

Just finished The Old Way, a Nicholas Cage western.

A bit formulaic, but was actually pretty good even so.

And the same young actress that plays the female lead in Star Wars Skeleton Crew plays the lead female character in The Old Way as well.
