weapon idea: Heavy Pulse Lasers

Heave Lasers and Pulse lasers. Both established technologies in the universe. This would likely either be both tech bases or Clan Only. The idea is Simple, increase the damage by 40% for each pulse laser while increasing the heat by 40% and in the case of hypothetical Inner Sphere ones 1.5 to 2 times heavier than a standard Pulse Laser. Also these get only a -1 to hit mod instead of a standard pulse lasers -2 and have inner sphere pulse/X-pulse laser ranges.

Stats below are WiP:

Small heavy Pulse Laser:
Weight: 1 ton(clan), 2 tons(Inner Sphere)
Crits: 2
Damage:7(+2d6 vs Infantry OR 7E/6B)
Heat: 7
To-hit mod: -1
Ranges(In hexs):0/1/2/3

Medium Heavy Pulse Laser:
Weight: 2 tons(clan), 3 tons(Inner Sphere)
Crits: 2
Damage:10(Clan),8(Inner Sphere)
Heat: 10
To-hit mod: -1
Ranges(In hexs):0/2/4/6

Large Heavy Pulse Laser:
Weight: 6 tons(clan), 9 tons(Inner Sphere)
Crits: 4
Damage:14(Clan)/13(Inner Sphere)
Heat: 15
To-hit mod: -1
Ranges(In hexs):0/3/7/10

A cooler Blazer Cannon that does more damage WITH a bonus to hit?!  SOLD!  Even with the slightly reduced range... ;D

they do still gain to-hit mod bonuses from either AES or Tarcomp, yes.

I like the weapons.
Pulse Lasers with more damage, just hope you got the heat to fire them.

Though looking at it, with the HMLP doing the same heat & damage as a standard PPC<  is that really worth it being 1/2 the weight and 1/2 the range, for just a +1 to hit bonus??

Heat is too low on the Large, even with the lower Damage Values.

And wouldn't there need to be Inner Sphere Heavy Lasers before they tried to get them to Pulse?
