The Jade Falcons do something no one would ever expect. They use stealth and someone Nova Cat visions to help them when they invade.

First off they did Kill Old Man Ngo, I mean who was kinda pointless to them?
Next, they sent someone to a planet to get the next Heir drunk, married, and knocked up by his new wife.
Then they showed up to a different planet and showed up looking for their new Khan for the clan just as her mother shot her and killed herself. Their new clan khan is Lizzy Ngo, They heal her from being shot, and she is cured of what sends her to her death in some timelines.
Then they assist in auditing the Planet the Ngo's rule. Why take over and keep getting their ass kicked when they can be ruled by the mad lady herself and then her hating them when she is leading them instead.

I had to do something that might cause Cannonshop to think outside the box with this idea when the Falcons do not act like they are meant to rule the IS and take over Terra...they could care less to do that mess.

In 3108, Khan Phelan Kell of Clan Wolf (in Exile) dies in the cockpit of Grinner.

In 3049, Khan Phelan Kell of Clan Wolf (in Exile)... wakes up, in the cockpit of Grinner and about to run into Clan Wolf. His 'mech has none of it's upgrades and he's back to being 18 again...

More to the point, he's less than a minute from Vlad and a heavy star of Wolves tearing up the recon lance of Kell Hounds. And Phelan is low man on the pole, with a reputation for insubordination already. What can he do?

Well, as it turns out, almost 60 years of experience and knowing Vlad pretty damn well is enough that Phelan is able to scrape a win over the other man's Timber Wolf, drag him out of his cockpit and fake enough swagger to talk the rest of the Wolves into letting him withdraw to the Kell Hounds dropship.

Captain Wilson is not happy about most of what's happened, but apparently Phelan is a chip off the old block: survived overwhelming odds, captured a valuable prisoner to hopefully shed light on who they ran into and even cracked the security on the 'codex' bracelet that the guy was wearing.

Meanwhile, Phelan wants to get back to an HPG and send some urgent messages to the Archon, to Tyra Miraborg, to his father... and to Jaime Wolf reading:

General Order 137. Time to tell all, Colonel Wolf.

And that leaves Phelan the time to get to Arc-Royal and then Tharkad to get Vlad talking, think how he will explain this to his father... and finally, to think over many many plans for snapping a certain Steiner-Davion's neck before she gets his mother killed.

I think his father would be rather understanding of his explanation, ''I guess the next generation just had to take our family's magic bullshit to the next level.''

Okay. That would be a pretty awesome-sounding Peggy Sue story! I would totally read it!

Not really, that would be if a ghost version of Phelan came back to make things right not his future self being put into his past self, but still it is a very interesting story idea.

General Order 137. Time to tell all, Colonel Wolf.

I appreciate how reminding Jaime Wolf to carry out his ****** orders has become its own subgenre of fanfic.

1261:
Jaimie Wolf is excited to get started on his new project of uplifting the inner sphere to fight the clans-but wait.  What's that popping noise?

Oh, it's every single forumite being teleported into the room with a 'helpful suggestion' on how to go about doing that when your boss hasn't actually allocated educational or technical resources to do so.  Think This Was Easier on the Tabletop but also Everyone is There.

1262:
3051:  The clan advance into the combine hits a snag when a world in their path is defended by five color-coded warriors of justice-Pink, White, Gold, Silver, and Treen.  The Five Pillars Pretty Cure have arisen to defend their world (Cure Jade is actually pink in color, because jade comes in lots of colors).  This should be a time of rejoicing.

Instead, the DCMS, the ISF, and the actual Order of Five Pillars are all freaking out.  Cure Jade broke the sound barrier leaping out of the way of an attack.  Cure Gold hit 400 km/h running towards the Clan invaders.  Cure Steel lifted an omnimech in the air and threw it.  Cure Teak took a direct hit from an ERPPC and came out of it looking badly sunburned.  Clan war machines were unable to do much more than annoy these warriors, and now the Combine needs to either live with them...or neutralize them.

Hmm... Phelan finds himself as a ghost attached to his uncle Patrick Kell in the early/mid 3010s, early enough that they can get used to one another and Patrick can learn to trust what Phelan says about the future before Morgan has his duel with Yorinaga Kurita.

With Phelan there to explain what happened and why Morgan is downsizing the Hounds and retreating to a monastery, Patrick will not feel betrayed the way he did canonically.

After that, Phelan will be doing his darndest to butterfly away the exact circumstances that led to Patrick´s death.

1263:

"Huh, that's funny..."  Medical Scientist Kevynn said, as he examined the corpse of a protomech pilot whom had self-terminated in a schizophrenic bout.  "...gonna need to take a look..."

After much pleading with the Warrior Caste overseer, and a series of in-depth phyiscals that ran for months...

"...can be solved, and solved inexpensively in both materials and effort.  I need approval to apply theory, to practice."

"To what end?"

"preventing Protomech warriors from risking insanity.  I think I have the answer, and it is going to be very easy." He said, "Getting you to approve it? not so easy. Keeping it from rival Clans may also prove difficult, but if I can figure it out, so can someone else...possibly a rival Clan."

His work is approved.

# 1264: True Neutral Comstar

Conrad Toyama dies (by accident or 'accident') before Jerome Blake, leaving his other less batcrap insane followers to continue his work. Thus Comstar does not turn into a religious cult and maintains it's neutral stance with the rest of the Inner Sphere, even allowing Terran corporations to sell their goods to the rest of the Inner Sphere, as long as the Sol system is left alone.

So! After looking through various video games and such for what I would want to get myself, or ask someone to get it for me, for Christmas I once again stumbled onto Mechwarrior 5: Clans, a game that I was putting off till I could get it cheaper, however after looking through the specs I needed I saw that there was no way my computer would be able to actually play the game much to my annoyance. Hence, I then decided to go off and watch various Let's Plays and other such videos about the game. So I pretty much spoiled myself on the game's overall story, and combined it with the earlier idea about a Peggy Sue!Phelan Kell, still brings this whole thing to a needed conclusion, which gave me this idea.

# 1265 The Warden Contigency

Star Colonel Jayden Hoyt closed his eyes for the final time as the Damocles Commandeos blitzed through his remaining Warriors and himself on Tranquil.

He then woke up once again as Star Commander Jayden Smoke Jaguar in his Star's Barracks on Courchevel much to his horror and a bit of happiness. His remaining Sibko were now all alive and that old bitterness of that fateful decision that pretty much ruined his future was now gone. He could actually make the right choice this time and maybe save his remaining family in the process as well.

Basically, a Peggy Sue version of Jayden, the main character from Mechwarrior 5: Clans which would, in my own opinion, actually do the whole Defection story a bit better than they did in the game. I have further ideas if anyone wants to hear them.

Tribble #1266 (Fixed)

It is 3020 and the Wolves Dragoons returned to the Inner Sphere to learn of the discovery and dissemination of the Helm Memory and New Dallas Cores while they were away.

in 2973 the universe trembled at the decanting of Natasha Kerensky,  but what if she had a twin?  what if Natasha and her twin after years apart both joined the Dragoon expedition and hatched a wild idea of her becoming Natasha’s shadow, so whenever Natasha needed a break Natesha would become Natasha!  and when Natasha rejoined Clan Wolf, Natesha went with her, Of course Ulric was let in on the secret, but when Natasha died, Natesha went to with the Exiles.

Some people, you don't play poker with.  Or in this case, witness the somewhat maybe true story of the Inner Sphere's most famous con-man, and how she convinced Clan Jade Falcon to abandon the conquest of Trell One.  Thrill in excitement, as Kommandant Katherine Morgan Steiner-Davion, with little more than a Militia and a shattered regiment, talked the Jade Falcons into fleeing from a battle they were winning.

all to save her beloved brother Victor.  Be fascinated and amazed, as the Blonde Seductress of Tharkad won the heart and loyalty of a Solaris Champion, bringing St. Ives closer into the Federated Commonwealth!!

Side features include selling canned vacuum to Belters, and talking her way into the First Lord's throne!!

[okay, past the ad copy here.  Imagine if Katherine really WAS as adroit at politics and negotiation as her bio pretended she was.]

While I'd love to do it, I'm not sure I could turn Katherine into Retief.

it is 2764 and news from Terra reaches across the Star League: Richard Cameron II has died of still unknown causes but is believed to have slipped on ice at a ski resort in the Alps while on vacation and hitting his temple against his hovercar's door and was declared dead at the hospital.
