That's a great lineup of variant mechs! Will definitely be picking them all up when they get released.

I agree the latest releases from IWM have been really crisp castings, other than the gun barrels in the new Marauder arms. Lots of excess pewter in there in all three of the ones I got

Here's hoping that when they release there's at least one brand-new mini with them...

Time is running out to make a announcement for Black Friday of something new.

For what it's worth, I was there yesterday and asked about the Winter releases.  The person there said molds are being made but she doesn't have any email or anything indicating what the releases are. :(

Ah well, I don't expect they'll be able to tell me any more in response to my message.

Hopefully it's a positive sign and they're just seeing a lot of orders.

Lots of designs need sculpts from the various TRO's. I like a good variant as much as the next guy but something that isn't a variant is needed.

IWM is going of popularity, and the TW A & D are two popular variants people are already chopping the plastic to make.  Same with the others shown . . in fact, they will also sell parts decently.  I know I am looking at the 3 MPL but.

The variants might have Clan Invasion release covered, hopefully we get something from the RecGuides but I think you can use the future plastic list to figure out what is not coming in metal soon.  Trying to figure out what design I would like to see since my main ones came out Premium.  Maybe a Thresher Mk II since it was in fiction recently?

Its fairly easy to make the T-Wolf A, D and Mad Dog C using available omni parts from other mechs.  I even made an ARC-5CS using two plastic Archers to enlarge the missile racks.  But I think the vast majority of B-Tech players don't have the time, skill or confidence to kitbash their own mechs and they will welcome these new minis.  I see some GREAT opportunities for using these parts for other mechs.  For example, the T-Wolf A has a weapons pod with a trio of pulse lasers, turn them upside down and they might be great for a Battle Cobra A arm pod.  The SSRM-6 Pods will also be very useful because they are quite common on many other omni configurations.

Glad to see the Night Gyr D and Nova Cat B, those are quite popular designs and are quite difficult to make without access to a 3D printer.  Just hope the scale is properly matched to the plastic. Hate seeing a tiny metal mini next to the appropriately scaled plastic mini.

Can I also just say... I think its unfortunate that the forums and IWM's website are no longer the source of new information about upcoming releases.  I'm either seeing it through some random post by a rando, CSO artist on Facebook or seeing a CAD image on Aries Games & Miniatures, or some Instagram post.  I think IWM wants to release information, but it seems they can't or just can't keep up and that makes me sad.

Gencon was early August and here we are in the proper forum, 3 months later, learning about these new upcoming sculpts because one of us was fortunate enough to visit the booth at GenCon, take a picture and update the rest of us.

It is frustrating that we aren't getting news of these releases directly from IWM. I'm not sure what Speck's role is with the company: I think he just does it voluntarily?

Even seeing CGL move to Discord has been frustrating too. It is as though the forum is low priority. And I understand that social media has changed things over the past 15 years and how individuals engage with each other, but the enshittification of social media sites means that we should be looking to traditional fora as a solid place for fans rather than as a bygone era.

Not sure if someone at IWM needs to be tasked to the do the job specifically -- especially if Speck isn't getting paid to do this work.

So am I just... old?  I don't like having to troll a dozen social media websites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Discord) and have to deal with all that BS advertising and influencers when this forum was made to disseminate IWM news and rumors.

You're not the only one feeling that way. Although discord was really a gaming social site, it has evolved...and I just cannot keep up with the 300+ threads going on all the time with all the servers I'm on.

I'm fairly sure IWM doesn't have a discord presence; they don't really even use their existing accounts on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.

Social media 10-15 years ago was a far different place. It really was. It has become much different and far, far more annoying. If it wasn't for my business account, I probably would have left Facebook by now. I don't even see the updates for the pages I follow and am interested in: rather it is just a constant stream of random pages and advertisements. But I think so many have become kind of stuck there similar to the frog in boiling water comparison, even with diminishing returns.

IWM had a good idea with their YouTube and Instragram accounts showing how the miniatures are made. That really helps to put things into perspective for consumers in understanding the process and pros & cons of the method. But like so many things, content has to be consistent. I don't even mean just social media; that would go for anything from TV shows to comic books.

You are so right about that.  I open up Facebook and its just constant stream of advertising and posts from people or groups I don't even know.  Its being shoved down our throats so the social media platforms can make money.  Its a distopian nightmare.

Here, we've got a forum with no advertisements and its just us Battletech fans communicating about news and the game. We don't have to choose social media, I wish IWM would stay with us.

I am soooo in agreement with this. I would kill off my personal Facebook account, but I cannot due to my business as I need backend access just in case the business account is hacked. I would say SO much more beyond this...but we are straying way off the mark for this thread.

I'm no MOD, but let's all get back on topic here about the IWM releases.

SPECK!!! Where are you??? LOL I know we talked in PM's but everyone here would like to make sure you're still alive and well, as well as giving us the update on the coming releases!
