I have a question.

How hard would it be to implement a new addition to MegaMekHQ: Solaris 7?

It could be a modified "Mercenary Unit" with restricted maps, different weapons restrictions and such. Example: No weapons with range over 400 meters!

Ive played BattleTech for many years, almost from the very beginning. We used to have 5 of us and each had a stable and had regular tournaments. I was a member of "Mech Warrior Leagues" and we did this online through Microsoft's "Mechwarrior 4".

I think it would be a great expansion to an already fantastic platform.

Not easy. MegaMek would require some extensive work and not easily done.

Understood. I worked for 23 years in the IT Industry. Its never as easy as a lot of people think. I'm not aware of what language or format MegaMek uses.

Anyway, thanks for a great game.

i think early on when megamek had size of 50mb or less some one attempted that not heard what happened to it only semi working version showed up and nothing since...
you sure cannot out run death...but sure as hell you can make that bastard work for it!

If you're looking for S7 (Mech Duel) rules action, RogueMek is still up.

It is a very light experience compared to MegaMek but pretty fun for a temporary diversion. Easily could become a phone game or something.

Hmmm....interesting.

Hop on the discord and fork the projects on github, the code isnt atrocious and the way it is setup makes it very welcoming to changes and improvements.
