I'm planning on doing a full run of Primitives at some future stage (like when the last XTRO comes out). Right now, the focus is on the modern-ish variants

I second that. I miss playing my support lance with 2x Longbow and 2x Archer on the table top :(

Is there a zipfile somewheres with all these images?  Right clicking and saving is getting...cumbersome.

Thanks,

Except for the battlemaster and longbow I think they have all been added

I have them ready to upload to the SVN for the next release.  I believe that all we need to finish this NBP is the Mad II.

Then we'll see what the next NBP is.......

This is NBP Phase I. After I finish the MAD II, Phase II begins, followed by Phase III. I'll say now that this is also the biggest of the three phases

And yes, I have a DBNBP2 planned for after that

It's the end of NBP, Phase I! And what better way to end it with then the Marauder II, since it's the logical last in this sequence? I can't think of any myself.

Incidentally, drawing an unseen Marauder II is easy. Just draw an unseen Marauder, make it bigger and add wings.

Just beautiful but seeing the IIC variant how come the IIC variant wasn't part of either the Rifleman, Warhammer or Thud?

Because Marauder IIC and Marauder II C are different animals.

This Marauder II C depicted here is just a variant of IS Marauder II (100 tons) designed by the Wolf's Dragoons, but built with the Clan technology.

The Marauder IIC would be the Clan 85-tonner.

And now after a brief respite (whole hours, in which I had a very nice hamburger) I present the start of NBP Phase II. It starts in the same way that Phase I did - with Locusts. Lots of them

Thanks for the Phase I units; its awesome to have each variant with its own sprite.  Looking forward to Phase II which looks like the IIC's are gonna some attention.

The odd duck of the IIC family, there's not a lot of references for the Jenner IIC. Having the very, very OOP mini helped a lot with the process, as did recollections of being rammed by hovercars on Zotemeer in MW2. Good times.

Cause the Nova Cats are weird.....

"Clan Nova Cat, the primary users of the Jenner IIC, created this variant after they moved to the Inner Sphere. Though it changes the appearance of the 'Mech, the actual specifications of the design changed little..."

The Unseen Griffin IIC represented one of the most problematic members of this series. As near as I could find, there's only a single picture of the unseen, being its TRO art, and it's not an entirely helpful view either. Otherwise, there's no other art, no miniature, nothing. It made developing an icon for it hard, to say the least.

After that, the reseen was a snap

Compared to the Griff IIC above, the Shadow Hawk IIC's TRO art is amazingly useful. Despite the stupidly over-dramatic anime flourish pose of the TRO art, it actually provides a good view of the torso and gives you a great impression of the 'Mechs shape. On the other hand, it has no externally visible weapons, so that's a lot less helpful then you'd think. Again, it's a case where the Reseen is a trillion times easier to draw, although having the MWDA mini in front of me did aid the process.

All up, the original unseen Shad IIC is the second-least like its classic counterpart in concept. But then, it's a huge gap to number one...

And now: How to draw a Rifleman IIC

Step 1: Draw a sombrero

Step 2: Have some guns sticking out from under it.

Optional step 3: Change which guns for which variant

You've just ruined reseen Riflemen for me.  Between that and the into to the old show "The Rifleman!", the whole mech series is a wash for me.

Aaaah, the unseen Phoenix Hawk IIC. Possibly the most nightmarish of this series to date.

The artwork of it is... yeah. Stupidly over-posed and confused, it doesn't help give a terribly clear picture of the 'Mech's shape. The head blends in with the stuff around it, the arms aren't clear, the wings sprout from seemingly nowhere and the skewed perspective makes proprtioning difficult. Added to that, the Unseen Pixie IIC mini is hard to find images of. This is good, because it looks like arse on a stick. Finally, there's no hint at all of weapons, so I had to figure that it's somehow hiding two Ultra-10s (or four LRM-20s) in there without a hint of how.

By comparison, the reseen, with its huge jump jets and wing-things, was a snap. Having the MWDA mini helped a lot, but it was just a trillion times easier to draw.

The Rifleman IIC looks good and yes I still remember the series.

The P-hawk I didn't know had that many variants from the vat babies

So can someone spell out for the clueless (read: me) exactly how to find a zipfile with all of these awesome icons? Instructions on how to put them into megamek would be very cool too.

Sorry if this has already been asked!

VERY silly follow up: does that mean I need to download the newest version of Megamek to use them?
