Not sure why you'd say that. Why do you say that? No missiles?

Yes and no. New tech, but IIRC the game rules for it aren't in the pdf

Makes sense in the magistracy, but is obviously female oriented armor. Wonder how men feel piloting it? Really impressive though.

Interesting, since I always saw the Panther as being an infantry support design that got thrown into being a line unit.

I agree. Simple, no nonsense medium BA with good weapon capacity; an evolution of the IS standard.

An Elemental without the missiles. Simple; I like it, too.

Actually... in House Kurita thats the infantry getting thrown into being a line unit. They don't use them the same way everyone else does...

I like the Amazon. Can take a PPC hit and keep on fighting. Standard mobility, heavy enough firepower with the MRR.

If the Shun ends up being used by the MoC, I can forsee myself airdropping Amazon squads out of that all the time. The Gun should also be fun for carrying non-jumpers. Maybe I'll finally give the Theseus Killshot a try.

The Raven II is the Raven upgrade that I always wanted. The XTRO Raven was kind of garbagey due to being fragile and devoting way too much weight to heavy weapons than to survivability. It looks like the Raven II fixes those problems.

The Calliope isn't the most exciting thing I've ever seen but it seems solid enough.

If either variant of the Catapult II is MoC then I'll certainly give them a try. I'd love to see the rules for the TSEMP and Heat-Dissipating Armour first.

The Behemoth II makes me want to give it a try to see if its very large number of Thunderbolt 5s is interesting enough. The Support variant loses a bunch of armour but is equipped in a way that seems more useful, though.

The writers continue to concentrate their efforts on the Deployment section, so there's very little "reading the record sheet out loud."

Its amazing what you can do when everything isn't brand new.

Finally, some new IS Omnis.  These two seem fairly decent if a bit esoteric.  Also, canon BC3, though I am surprised to see those from the CCAF.

So a few units with TSEMP, but no rules yet :(

The Highlander Shun was certainly awesome at this in the Clix game; glad to see it's translated over this way. It was my go-to unit for delivering battle armor across the board ... the variant I used was extremely hard to hit. My "flying bricks" left many people frustrated ...  will have to research Republic ability to field these ...

I'm not really a Liao fan, but I am enjoying the heck out of the TRO. Great art and good write-ups.

The Arrow IV tank is a nice signature unit from MWDA ... too bad they couldn't work in a Targe or "ATV squad," but that would have cost two entries, and I don't see anything I'd want to trade just for a nod and wink.

Curious about the TSEMP and the Heat-Dissipating Armor also. Especially since the Agrotera shows 10(23) on the record sheet for Heat Sinks and Partial Wing, yet the Catapult II with the Heat-Dissipating Armor shows a normal 10(20). Unless this is an error or maybe the armor is Flamer, Plasma, and Inferno resistant?

Yeah, after I saw that I'm almost certain that Heat-Dissipating Armour simply provides protection from external heat sources.

The Yun is such a wonderful idea. The part about dropping Amazons conjured such wonderful imagery.  >:D

From a quick scan, what jumps out is the Amazon, the Mortis, and the Lu Wei Bing. Maybe its the artwork, maybe its the back story. But I like them. I really want to have a fight between a Company of Challenger X MBT's and Behemoth II's though.

Ok just started reading it. A quick glance and I love it. It feels Capellan.

Amazon is cool. It's nice we get our (um, well sorta our) own standard BA and don't have to field Fa Shih in that role.

The Shen Long is just nasty. I love it.  >:D

Is is just me or does the Luduan look Romulan?

The Nisos is cool. Nice just to have more WiGEs.

Can someone please explain the TC on the Shun to me? That seems like a waste of a ton for just two Magshots.

I kinda like the TC on the Shun. For only 1 ton, the same as a third Magshot, you get the opportunity to aim shots against enemy units.

Here is another good fight a Shen Long squad vs Fenrir squad

Seeing how the Fenrir is a relatively early 2nd generation IS BA and the Shen Long is a tightly mini-maxed 4th generation BA, I hope the outcome is a no-brainer!

The Predator finally makes it into mainstream BT from it's Battletechnology roots.
