2D Battletech art
« on: 27 May 2013, 21:09:34 »
I have done an unseen Warhammer as well but I'm not quite sure if thats kosher. I took a few liberties, especially in the case of the Sentinel- I've never seen a version that had lower leg assemblies that had any real detail to it.

Thanks everyone. Im not looking for paid commissions, I don't think I'm all that great yet and my perspective needs help. Here is one I was worried about. Reading the rules for the unseen I think its ok to post it. If not or its too racy let me know and I'll remove it.

I like the Whammy but I believe it is the pilot which I find most racy. Well done sir.

Thanks. By commissions, I mean I'd take ideas of things to do, like a Commando... B variant I think that has the large laser. Also working out the bugs in a custom Swayback model J and the Bounty Hunter standing atop his unseen MAD.

Dayanax,

Original work including Unseen is fine, as long as you're not commercialising or otherwise distributing it. If you are at all concerned, then providing the link, rather than including the image directly in the post, is fine (becase Lawyer).

Nice work! You do have the opportunity to grow your skills, but you're already doing very well. The overall layout and details are great, and a little work on the perspective elements will tie everything together. Looking forward to seeing more from you!

(And if I can slide in a bit of personal bias - I'd love to see more of the variants done, like the LL Commando, Jenner with chin turret, etc!)

Cheers,

W.

Finished up. Wasn't much left to do but shade and edit text. I don't get too much time to sketch at the moment writing for sarna.net's news blog. The Enforcer and the Commando are both with the 4th Skye Rangers in forest camo. I kept the black arms with green trim of the parade color scheme thinking that up close they'd want their foes to know they were messing with a fanatical Steiner unit.

And yes, That's Betty Boop with a red Skye beret.

great work. Nasty K and her Warhammer is my favorite, but I have to say I have a certain fondness for that old girl and her pilot
