his first name is never stated in the comic (current fan headcanon is 'rembrandt', the same as the real world artist), but we've seen those initials on his notebook that Tinka had.. the one with all the notes on how the Muses worked.

right now the fans are debating as to whether this notebook is the same book and the train-monks have am use hidden away.. or if she was after some other creation of his, and this is a different notebook..

Ah, but they only really TRY to kill the ones they don't like.

The rest are just little tries. The kind of obstacles you put in place to make sure only smart relations grow up. I mean, if you are family known for scheming, would YOU want and idiot to grow up and sully the family name? Better to let them go out in a blaze of glory.

who says they survive? for all we know they just hastily erect a new set of convoluted plot ideas every time they unleash some horrible abomination in the comic and start over where they are.

.......which would make as much sense as anything else at this point.
