There's record sheets in every new Rec Guide? Aren't those ilClan era?

He's talking about (I think) the 3250 ilClan era that we've been getting hints/teases since the release of TEO:3145. Specifically he's referring to a line that says the designs of 'Mechs with certain names are now completely different, which I personally take to mean that weights have changed.

I guess that's one interpretation. (I wrote that bit.)  8)

no. the PoV is from right before the wolf assault on terra and most of the intro dates are 3145 and before

I think we can assume there won't be any Record Sheets for 3250 units until we actually reach that point in the timeline.

I am pretty damn sure there won't be a time jump to 3250. All 3250 texts we've seen felt like framing devices. Wouldn't be surprised if near-future products are framed from 3250 POV but set in 3150s.

It's been mentioned multiple times by the TPTB they want to cover allot of world building so there will not be a major 100 year time jump. CGL wouldn't be creating all these stats for the current tech otherwise.

If the recent release schedule of MWDA novels holds up, we should be seeing Blood Avatar drop soon. I've not read the book yet but from what I've heard about it I'm curious what sort of Mech will grace the cover. A Blood Kite or Crimson Langur perhaps?

Any idea when we'll start getting IlClan-era record sheets? Considering how long CGL has been hyping up this change...

You've asked this twice now, and I sense what you're asking for is something more like a new Technical Readout tied to the ilClan era. New 'Mech designs, and record sheets for them.

The easiest (but least satisfying answer) is that we're moving into this new era much more slowly in in-universe time than the pace of past products. It's not suddenly going to be 3160 or anything, with 10 years of territory for new TROs. That said, we're aware of the never-ending demand for new stuff to break.

As others have said, your best bet for now is the Recognition Guide: ilClan series. That series covers anything up to the "moments" just before the ilClan sourcebook, 3150 and prior. So as we're rolling out Tamar Rising, Empire Alone and onward, if you want to have the cutting-edge Mechs that might be on the battlefields described in those books, Rec Guide is where it's at.

Seeing how there wasn't a single 'Mech in the entire novel, I'm curious to see what they'll do with the cover.

I know, I forgot to add a smiley or wink to show I was jesting. The two Mechs I mentioned are a reference to something I recall Ben Rome scratching his head about in his designer notes for Wars of Reaving: how a nobody coroner from some hick town somehow knew about the fate of the Blood Spirits.

I was about to respond that way, and point out afaik the Blood Kite never made it to the IS (which is weird considering how robust it is) thought a Monkey Langur did in JF hands I think.

No. They're talking about the product we first announced back in February, a print-on-demand version of TRO Vehicle Annex, Revised, which previously had only been available in PDF form.

The deal there is that we got as far as seeing a test book, but it had many issues to work through. Coinciding with that were two things: Ray and I had to fully devote our attentions to planning Tamar Rising and everything after; and DTRPG changed the rates for landscape POD to fall into their highest tier, making the book a more expensive proposition for both us and you.

We'd still like to do it. Given a little bandwidth, we might be able to. But it's not imminent.

Figure this hurts future TROs being landscapes too. (Were any TROs available in PoD right now?)
