Well, I don't know too many mechanics who could get out of an escape room, either.

It's a shame I didn't see this SNL-skit, until a few days ago. During the summer, I worked the state-fair and one of my coworkers was a school-teacher from the inner-city.  I would asked him if he pronounces names like in this clip!!!

A-A-Ron?

Not having a TV, makes me appreciate actors' performances more; I enjoyed watching the college-students acting as teenagers.

Still a fun movie, though some of the FX don't imo hold up as well..

Caught Furiosa..  LOVED IT..  Great 'intro' for the character, and a prequel to mad max..  Absolutely loved Hemsworth's portrayal of dementus..

The Vourdalak (2024) Its kinda an old-fashioned French gothic horror movie, about an 18th century nobleman who ends up in the forests of Eastern Europe and comes across a very strange family. Now, this story has been made into movies many times, and this is like the third adaptation Ive seen (the first was with Boris Karloff in Black Sabbath, and a Russian move called the Vampire Family) and its gorgeously shot, with a very weird and unsettling vibe.

Now this could have been a really great old school horror movie except for one thing: the monster is a puppet. The buildup and everything was tense and creepy, but when it finally appears its a major letdown, because it feels like youre now watching the Muppet Show. If they could just have had an actor in makeup, or even CGI this would have been an instant classic, but a puppet? Come on.

warning father ted is not a show to keep blaring in the background on first watch...it has too many hidden jokes in background and some comedy that has to be seen

Thanks for the recommendation, elf25s. Father Ted was definitely worth the watch. I was a little iffy on it in the early episodes, but it was a riot once it hit its stride.

For many years RTÉ had a terrible record with sitcoms. There were some legendary other comedy shows - but they were more spontaneous, panel shows, hidden camera, that sort of thing.  So every time a new sitcom came along the press would be asking if this time would it be funny?  And in a deep irony while Father Ted was written and performed by Irish people, it was a UK production, originally airing on Channel 4.

Pauline McLynn, who played Mrs Doyle lives in my neighbourhood. We have a festival and street party every June and she usually hosts a tea party as part of it.

Horizon: An American Saga a very long movie. It was ok. Great visuals and the historical accuracy was incredible. Just a very slow moving movie with at least 4 different plots going on at the same time.

Watching the Bionic-Woman; and realized, that, her getting her cybernetic-arms tanned, the sun would heat the metal up, then I realized in Cyberpunk, the sun would also heat up their cybernetics, but that's not a problem, seeing out the sun never shines!

The original or the very short-lived remake?

The OG with Lindsay Wagner; and it's funny, watching her smoke, and pretending to hate it when (they created a dopleganger don't ya know).  And they had actual, football-players in the show with Dick Butkus.

Classic.  The production value may not have been all that high, but it wasn't bogged down by the edgelordiness of the remake.
