I did not. Might try to do so next time, but they were quite decent as was.

Chinese hotpot at Haidilao Montreal.  They really try hard to make you think you’re at one of their restaurants in China itself.
(and let’s just say I was there more than a few times during my years in China).

I woke up late, but it's my day off, so I had brunch.

A devil's food cake donut with chocolate frosting.

Then a sammich. whole wheat bun with yellow and spicy brown mustard, a slice of sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, two slices of cotto salami, about a quarter inch of thin sliced, cracked black pepper turkey breast and 4 slices of sammich sized pepperoni.

Washed the sammich down with Mountain Dew Zero Purple Thunder.

its a bit of comfort food for me i usually make it on warm days
white rice chilled with strawberry mixed with sweetened sourcream( container of sour cream mix it with sugar usually  two table spoons or add to taste but usually  two  table spoons is more than enough  mix it all with container of strawaberries either crushed or blended toghether) afyer its mixed just pour over white chilled rice....enjoy
if rice is nit available switch it to egg noodle of strawbberies are not available use cinnamon

Some of them. Not too fond of others.

There’s also dipping sauces and marinades. Love the sweet Thai chili.

Today I decided to go to a place I haven't been to in five or six years.  The restaurants in the food court are all different from the last time i was there, but I had a chili burger and garlic herb fries for dinner- been over a year since I've had a chili burger, then went to a different shop and got a cup of chocolate mousse for dessert.  Good times.

Threw together white beans, butternut squash, mushrooms, onions and some coconut milk with curry spice into an instant pot and let cook for 20 minutes.  Very tasty.

my friend is crashing over my place for few days...so i introduced him to a cauluflower in stir fried bread crumbs
basically you steam the veggie put half a stick of butter on frying pan with bread crumbs stir them till golden brown add crumbs until they dont clump but dont turn dry
then pour the crumbs over cauliflower which had been taken or cut apart...serve hot you can do same with green string beans or yellow
had not had it before guess who had 5 servings to my one....

Basically a whole shrimp with an eggroll cover, fried.  Kinda looks like a Torpedo when done that way.

Few hours ago I had a cheeseburger (cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and honey mustard), a hotdog (honey mustard and cheddar cheese, and corn (that are barbecued by my dad) for dinner and they're wonderful!

Pasulj - Balkan bean stew.

Slice three large onions, soften in large pan with oil and all the cloves of a head of garlic. Then add four sliced double-smoked kransky sausages (aka smoked Polish sausage), three cans drained butter beans, one can chopped tomato, tablespoon and a half of sweet paprika, and simmer covered for 40-45 minutes.

Basically grown-up beans & franks, but delicious, and stick-to-the-ribs goodness.

Dinner tonight was lemon-pepper chicken strips with stir-fried veg (onion, red pepper, celery, courgette {aka zucchini}), and rice noodles.

I'm told that UK baked beans are different to the US version - one of my offspring has me send her the UK version every so often.
