New and Upcoming Releases II
« on: 29 December 2014, 01:55:34 »
IIRC the Marauder was actually a relatively new design (as far as battlemechs were concerned) by time Amaris took terra.  The Warhammer was based on the Hammerhands, and neither design was ever built with primitive tech IIRC.
1) That's what I am saying, isn't it?
2) The original Marauder debuted one and half century befory Stefan Amaris took Terra.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for new releases, has been there any progress with the Succession Wars boardgame?

Well, the original MAD-1R was 2612.  And, of all things, mounted CASE; a fantastic idea.

I don't suppose there are any news on new and upcoming releases? :)

Have you met the clans? Words like "Naïve" and "misguided" are not enough to describe the notion that a conquest of the IS by the clans would result in a Utopian pacifistic society.

Is that what this thread is for?

Hopefully we can stay on thread and talk about what's coming up.

List of releases as far we know.
Described Releases
Experimental Technical Readout: Most Wanted
Handbook: House Kurita
Interstellar Operations (Vol 1 & 2 - per talk on the old Thread)
Record Sheets: Prototypes Unabridged (E-Publication)

Undescribed Releases
Experimental Technical Readout: Republic I (E-Publication)
Experimental Technical Readout: Succession Wars II (E-Publication)
Historical Turning Points: Tortuga (E-Publication)
Historical: First Succession War

It all sounds so good, but i havve to say I'm more looking forward to IO (edit Interstellar Operations), the Handbook and the Record Sheets for Prototypes at the moment.  I'll get more interested in things once we see them finally on the horizon and described better.

Historical Turning Points: Tortuga (E-Publication)

This is the one I am most interested in... because I have no idea which Tortuga it will be covering of the 4 known actions there even described. If its any of the above at all.

Then... that rules out all of the four known engagements. One was during the Wolf's Dragoons first contract in IS (Dragoons were sent to attack the place), another is 3042 by the 9th FedCom RCT, 3rd is Filtvelt in 3078-79 (Given a couple lines at most in Objectives: Periphery) and the last is of course 3129 in Operation TRIDENT.

Edit: Filtvelt is actually 3076.

From that it sounds like its maybe Operation Trident.  Thumper Assault Battalion/Regiment going to be leading the way.  I'm not sure what their suppose to be packing, i keep thinking their a artillery heavy former merc unit.  Later is correct, but name suggests it.

Former merc battalion specializing in assault-class 'Mechs. Now Filtvelt unit, expanded to regimental size but diluted with lighter units.

That isn't just-post Jihad. Trident was only three years before the Blackout and 48 years after the Jihad.

A new year is about to come upon us and I wish we would get some thing before or a little after the New Year.   Even a short story from Battlecorps.

It is about 8 months until Gen-con, which comes early this year, and in MY OPINION I wish that
"IlClan" comes out then.  Also "IF" there is homeworlds Clans in the book, maybe we can get a IlClan supplement that describes the Weapons and equipment for the Homeworld Clans for the last 50 to 60 years. This is only MY OPINION.

Here to a Wonderful New Year.

If that's actual invasion from the Homeworlds.   IT could easily be Clan Wolf landing the final blow or unexpected Clan related party.

With all respect to Fletch and cold1, and not trying to steal their thunder, while at the same time not trying to wake the hiberating GhostBear and trying not to incur his wrath against my favourite faction (for the purposes of this posting I am a CapCon loyal citizen and House Liao fanboy) you have left off:

"The Unnamed Sourcebook" from the Undescribed Releases list  ;)
