I want to know who is responsible for the monster that is the Castrum pocket warship.
Jellico was certainly very helpful catering to an extensive wish-list. [notworthy]
Can we expect MDWA Cyclops and Daishi in the future too?
Those may be relegated to the realm of RS. In fact, I believe 3145 NTNU's Daishi E may represent the MWDA figure.
I was certainly surprised to see all of the DA 'mechs, though. Certainly wasn't expecting to see them. If I have one complaint, it's that certain variants mentioned in the (very well written) fluff weren't included in the record sheets at the back - maybe in a unabridged PDF product down the road?
Basically, if the RS doesn't exist, then the unit never existed - even as a prototype - in universe. But pray tell me which ones you were thinking of!
What a pain it was to make that monstrosity fit on the record sheet.
You are a scholar and a gentleman. Truly.
the entry implied that was what the Scapha was.
O0
Actually it's a dead world by 3130
The Valiant fluff would imply some time before then.
Most of the units are not unique and you can plausibly encounter them in your campaigns.
The best part however is that almost all entries make logical and believeable connections to other designs
and in universe events making it a real gem to read.
Those go hand in hand. The progression of TRO Prototypes to TRO 3145 makes the niche of the XTRO a difficult one for 32nd century settings. This XTRO should hopefully be able to showcase the increasing normalcy of TRO Prototypes technology while also filling a "TRO hole" between the aforementioned TROs.
I would have loved to have seen the original version of the Hexareme. Even as nitch patrol boat, still think it's under armed. HQ ship's fine, but you have 80 ton command ship already. Give me the guns. }:)
Ah, this ties in to GreekFire's comment. There never was an original version. Everything attempted even in theory was discarded before even the first prototype was constructed.
