Several cool items to talk about.

First, if you didn’t already know about it, the Alpha Strike update to the Master Unit List was made a few weeks back (I know, I know, I’m behind the times…trying to catch up).

For those that don’t know what the Master Unit List is, feel free to visit the website and dive it. It’s a massive, online repository of the literally thousands of units that populate BattleTech‘s universe, presented in a way to help players find what they’re looking for. While it can be a little daunting, all of the filters provide a wonderful UI that really empowers players to search as they will, coming up with different ways to get the most of the MUL.

Most importantly, for the Alpha Strike update, once you burrow down into a specific unit page, down below those gorgeous camospecs.com painted miniatures photos, you’ll find a complete Alpha Strike stat card for every unit that you can click on and print out!

Second, we’re continuing our coverage of BattleTech–specifically Alpha Strike–in the fantastic Ravage miniatures gaming magazine. Herb put together a great article on how to take various source material, the Campaign Rules from Alpha Strike (and the MUL) to build a quick scenario and/or campaign set within the fantastic BattleTech Lore. Below is the first page of that 4-page article; check the full article out in Ravage Issue #11 when it’s available!

Finally, we’ve worked up an outline for an Alpha Strike Companion for publication next year. While we’ve got some great ideas, I felt this was a perfect opportunity for some fan input.

If you’ve played Alpha Strike, what would you like to see in a companion volume to enhance your enjoyment of the game? What all new rules, or perhaps you’ve got some suggestions for some alternate rules…I’ve started a thread in the fan input area of the forums for you guys to bring the thoughts and ideas. Don’t worry if you’re just now picking up the book and giving it a try…we’ll leave that thread open for a good month or more.

Thanks!

Randall
